  • Comments Thread For: Lomachenko: After Watching Lopez Fight A Lot Of Times, My Opinion It Was A Draw

Vasiliy Lomachenko is ready to move on with his career--and away from wild conspiracy theories. The former three-division titlist struggled to cope with his unanimous decision loss to Teofimo Lopez (16-0, 12KOs) in their three-belt lightweight unification bout last October at MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas. Lomachenko (14-2, 10KOs) went viral in the aftermath, though for all of the wrong reasons after alleging that the judges were dishonest and that the final punch statistics provided by Compubox were rigged against him.

If Loma had carried round 12, a draw could have been justifiable. He didn't, however, as Teofimo dug deeper to clearly win the 12th and close out the fight.

True, Loma was also clearly hurt near the end of the 12th

A draw is Lomo's way of admitting defeat. At least he is giving Lopez somewhat of credit now.

As my video showcased, round 12 was a swing round. Teo whiffed more than he landed, and some of you got fooled by the flashy.

As my video showcased, the body shot did not affect Loma significantly.

If he startes fighting since round one, he could make a case but boy, why in the hell he was a shell he only started making a move at round 7 and yes he did get to win those round 7 onwards, the round 12 was clearly Teo and he was hurt. Loma needs to either check his eyes or study addition again.

He did, however, was a great fighter in my eyes so i hope he could get another win and rematch Teo soon.
