Comments Thread For: Lomachenko: After Watching Lopez Fight A Lot Of Times, My Opinion It Was A Draw

I gave it to Lopez, I don't know about dominating though. IMO that's what forced the draw. But like I've said countless times, a 115-113 scorecard in Lopez' favor is easily acceptable. The issue is the trolls on here and Lopez' behavior after the fight. That's all there is to it. The scorecards that night were a joke.Comment

Maybe at age 80 he'll admit he lost? I'd already lost respect for him when he wouldn't just admit he was out-worked vs Lopez. Now? It will be tough to get behind him in any fights FNO. Maybe he just needs to lose by KO to get his feet solid on Earth. As it is now... sounds like he's floating 50 feet above ground.... in his mind. Damn son, grow up.
Thanx for such a brilliant and thought provoking comment, which BTW adds immensely to the discussion. I'm guessing you also do seminars?

Don't fall for Lomas fake crocodile tears. He was warned to to take the fight (Salido did sneak some elbows in when the ref wasn't looking.......tho).Comment

well to be fair... we had started seeing "signs" the past few outputs by Loma... his weaknesses and drawbacks were becoming fairly more obvious the more he fought... Still a GREAT fighter tho... but ya I agree.,.. he better shore some of this stuff up for real...Comment

I cant help but think AS HUMAN BEINGS in the world today... we tend to like to see those on top (for whatever reason) get taken out..,. particularly boxers who have been "fast tracked" to title offers,... Its very understandable... Boxing is a mess currently..and all over the place... just how they want it... But ya Loma was one of those fighters you wanted to see get "factory reset" pushed on his pro career, turn back the dial to START, and watch him fight his way back towards the top,... a title fight after 3 fights was a bit much for most of us, 400 ammy fights or not...Originally posted by PunchyPotorff

I cant help but think this loss "might" be a good thing... and NOW we will finally see what kind of coaches his team is truly made up of.... Lets face it..LOMA is so gifted naturally that its had to have been a partial "ride" so far for his corner... Now we will see what his camp is made of...Comment
