Question for boxing experts: Does Tyson Fury have a solid chin or a weak chin?

What does it mean if you have a solid chin? Does it mean you can take a really hard punch and not get dropped or is it how fast you recover from a punch?

Cause I seen Tyson fury get dropped soooo many times it makes me think he’s got a glass chin like amir khan. Then I see that round 12 against wilder and I’m like how tf do you get up from that, AND look fresh and win rest of the round. I’ve never seen any fighter ever do that.

I watched fury vs Chisora 1 and every time Chisora landed which wasn’t that often, it hurt fury, he didn’t go down but he ran and covered up and you can tell he was hurt. Also seen a cruiserweight drop him.

Does he have a solid chin or a weak chin?

I'd say easy-ish to knock down because of the way he moves. Hard to knock out because of the way he moves.

I don't think his movement is particularly good, but he's always loose and always moving. So it's hard to catch him clean, but easy to knock him off balance.

Even the Wilder shot is overrated. Tyson was stumbling when the right hand hit, and was falling away from the punch with the left. I'm not that surprised he wasn't out cold, even if it did look pretty spectacular.

He was also cool enough to take his time, get his senses and then stand.

Not sure if that means he has a good chin or not.

      Solid chin.

Hes had 30 fights at heavyweight and has never been knocked out.

He’s also the only man Deontay Wilder hasn’t knocked out.

I would say he has a weaker chin. If he gets tagged he's going down. Tyson fury has a skinny fat build. If he wasn't fat, he would be skinny.

He has heart though, seeing as he got up everytime he was dropped. So he has some degree of toughness for sure.

Totally agree with this. It wasn't that good of a shot. His eyes were clear even when he was lying on his back collecting his thoughts. It wasn't like he was Holmes wobbling around the ring trying to get his legs back from Shavers taking his soul.

Average I'd say but his recuperative abilities are second to none.

His chin is strong due to his weak resume.
