If there's anyone to blame it's Bob Arum who kept pushing the date back from July to October to December of 2020 because he didn't want to risk losing any revenue at the live gate during the lockdown. He wanted a hundred percent seating capacity.

Also, he falsely advised Tyson Fury that his rematch clause with Deontay Wilder had expired. Which was why Fury decided to breach his contractually signed rematch clause with Deontay Wilder in order to pursue an undisputed bout with Anthony Joshua in the first place.
