The whole thing is annoying. As a Fury fan, I am annoyed that I believed the hype that the fight may finally be about to be made. AJ just trying to save face here though. Eddie Hearn is the problem here. He couldn't wait to go running to the media, to make breaking news, to be the first to get any stories out to the world. He is a slag. A silver-spoon slag who kept jumping the gun to the press before the ink had even dried. And Arum and Fury were open from the get-go about the arbitration playing out in the background. They didn't hide the fact. Eddie went bowing at the feet of some Arabian bajillionaires, then cried to the press that the deal was signed and sealed and the fight was on! What a flash, arrogant coont! It is what it is, very disappointing. Regardless which side you see it from, it is just disappointing as fans we may have to wait another year or two now.

I find it hilarious that anyone would want to defend Fury, Warren and Arum when they never ever wanted the fight. They totally ****ed it for boxing fans.

Fury is great boxer but is the worst thing about HW boxing. Arum needs to keel over already.

Arum has been talking about making a super fight in the middle east for 20 ***ing years and it never happened. Manny fought in China and Malaysia but every time they tried to fight in the middle east with some oil prince funding it the money never got put up in escrow. Every ***ing time.

Yep. Seems like he just has a lot of hate for Joshua which might be clouding his mind and making him say some questionable things.

Professional boxing matches are in my opinion, scored on style, aggression, defense and damage.

Fact of the matter is? Deontay Wilder damaged Tyson Fury, more then Fury damaged him 'Accept it'.

Tyson Fury won the boxing match in terms of amateur type points scoring, but Deontay Wilder won the fight in my opinion 'He pressed the fight, and inflicted more damage'.

That was why I was fine with draw 'It was not a monumental bad decision, no where near as bad as Lennox Lewis vs Evander Holyfield I'. Lennox Lewis not only out boxed Holyfield he also brutally beat him up 'Check Holyfield in the post fight press conference'.

At any given time during a boxing match, there are two things happening 'A boxing match, and a fight'.

People seem to forget this.

Damage is certainly a factor in the scoring. Judges and the public at large know and accept this.

In spite of Wilder doing significant damage a couple of times, the majority of the public believe that Fury won the first fight easily, notwithstanding the damage done to Fury.

It becomes a problem when people think that damage is the only thing that matters. That’s just dumb and prejudiced boxers who aren’t blessed with natural power. A boxing match is as much a test of skills as destructive abilities. That’s why it’s a boxing match and not a Gladiatorial fight to the death. I’m being flippant but you see my point.

Fury boxed Wilder’s ass off for basically the entire match and deserved to win EVEN THOUGH he took significant damage at points in the fight. This is generally well known. It’s borderline whether it was a “robbery” or just a very bad judging decision. I think of a robbery as when there is an strong suggestion of corruption involved (inevitably favouriting the “home” fighter). In my opinion the decision was bad enough to suggest the possibility but perhaps isn’t as cast iron as other cases (see Lennox v Holyfield, Burns v Beltran)

Often you’ll see people say “yeah, but look x’s face compared to y’s face”. You shouldn’t be looking at their faces, you should be looking at the fight they were just in.

I am not defending Fury. I said I am annoyed and disappointed with the whole thing. At the minute I am feeling disillusioned with the whole thing. Worst of all is having to see another Wilder fight, an opponent Fury has dealt with conclusively already. 2021 is going to be a wasted year for Fury now in that sense. But that doesn't mean Fury or Arum purposely done this. There is nothing really to defend? Fury wouldn't have announced the fight on his Twitter if he knew it was going to fall through. As I said, it is annoying and disappointing. The only idiots who feel there is something that needs defending are Fury haters, who are using the fall-through as a reason to throw shade at him. Fury is scared of no man, and the day will come when Fury and AJ share a ring, and Fury will make AJ look like a novice. Nothing has changed in that regard. The majority proclaiming Fury to be scared, or ducking, have likely never been in a fight in their lives. Fury probably achieved more in his Amateur career than these morons will achieve in a whole lifetime. Fury is the man, but this situation sucks.
