But this definitely wasn't no one sided beat down. Derevyanchenko had his moments and fought well, Charlo was just landing the harder and more damaging shots for majority of the fight.
This right here. Deve is proven and most knew what he would bring. Charlo handled him in a clear victory, solid win.

It was a very good performance by Charlo. Derv is a quality fighter and Charlo's only half decent fight at the weight before it was. Korabov and I though he lost that so I thought he may struggle a bit. It was competitive but Charlo won well.

Easily his best performance at the weight.

Charlo was the first guy to really convincingly beat Derevy. However, he already had his wars with Jacobs and especially GGG.

Just didn't see a clean win at all. Saw a really tough back and forth fight. I watched after reading the RBR thread where most seemed to be touting Charlo's dominance and talking about his jab. Just didn't see any of that. Jab was solid but not exceptional there. No shame in that though, Derevy basically fights to about a draw vs everyone I've ever seen him face.

Hell the best I've seen anyone do against him was actually Culcay

It was a back and forth fight I thought .....maybe I'll rewatch it soon because .

SD was definitely very effective with his body shots and getting inside and under Charlo. I like the right hand to the body, it kept stabbing and stabbing Charlo and there was a point in maybe the 8-10th rounds where it looked like Charlo may have been really feeling it, he looked tired and was reacting to those body shots. But nothing really came of it - like I said I have to rewatch but had Charlo cracked at that point, or SD been able to sustain that maybe he could have overtaken Charlo on my card.
I didn't see a blowout but it was a solid win for Charlo - but probably it's just my lowered expectations as a fan. Wow charlo you're like 30 and you finally got a good win, let's celebrate it

It wasn’t a blowout but he did better against Derevyanchenko than GGG and Jacobs did.

Was a typical Derev loss. Close fight. 115-113 on my card (I actually didn't remember it being THAT close until I looked at my card just now)

I was surprised how close I had it, watching it on replay after reading the RBR thread

I had it 115-113 for Charlo, thought it was a close fight and the scorecards were a bit unfair in favor of Charlo. Also thought SD looked a bit shopworn during the fight and also had issues with Charlo's height.

For reference I had both the Jacob and GGG fights 114-113 to the eventual winners.
