Do you mean like receiving that eight figure payday like BJS? Nah fuck that! They fight like nothing alike. Charlo would give him that work though and he knows it. He won't back up or run. He would stand and trade toe to toe with Canelo and who knows perhaps he even back Canelo up and win a decisive victory on the scorecards.

Now that I agree! This is the most rational post in the entire thread. Well said!

Lol. So, take away 2 fights (and great performances relatively speaking) against the number 1 pfp fighter in the world, where a lot of people think you won both.

Even then there is no comparison to their resumes at the present time. Jermall has been in like 4 actual fights against guys who anyone should rate. GGG has been in like 15, outside of the Canelo fight. Even for their ages, Charlo is well behind.

Jermall has let's say 2 fights vs good competition - Trout, and Sergei. And he had 2 competitive fights with those guys. No shame in that.

And 2 fights vs OK comp - Korobov and J Rock. And he basically won 1 and drew 1.

GGG has Sergei, Danny, Lemieux, Murray in the top group, outside of Canelo. Call it 3 wins and a draw with those 4.

Then he still has guys like Brook, Monroe, Geale, Macklin, Rubio, Vanes, Stevens, Ishida, Rosado etc. Before you dismiss those guys, those are good solid pro fighters GGG ran through, the same type of guy like Korobov who Charlo went life and death with and maybe eeked out a win. GGG has like 10 dominant wins in his career over guys like that. Charlo has 2 and again he is like 1 win and 1 draw with that group. Not even close to comparable.

        Tribalism is absolutely astounding sometimes.

Why don't you read that comment and my reply again, and you can maybe be able to figure out this time which fighter I was talking about. Hint - it wasn't Charlo.

No one is winning a decisive victory on the scorecards vs Canelo lol.

From those two comments you made, I have to assume you are a troll account at this time.

Ok, you asked for it. Jacobs was not undefeated when he challenged Canelo at 160. He already had two losses under his belt. Secondly, you asked what undefeated black fighter or skilled Middleweight has Jermall Charlo defeated? Do the names Julian Williams and Sergiy Derevyanchenko sound familiar.

Charlo went life and death with Korobov, and despite some odds claims that he dominated, he had a really tough close fight with Sergei as well. He isn't likely to dominate Canelo at all. He couldn't KO Derevy, Korobov, or Adams. He didn't drop 2 of those guys, maybe all 3.

Slow down on the hype train because if you hype him up that much, you'll have to eat crow when he underperforms, which he has already shown us he is more than capable of.

My bad homie! My mistake; I apologize. I was so whipped up into this Jermall Charlo bashing that I lost my focus. Now as far as Caleb Plant is concerned; I am hearing rumors that he wants more than the $8m dollars that BJS received from his fight with Canelo. So you may be right. He probably doesn't want that smoke after all, because otherwise why would he price himself out?

This writer called Charlo a P4P king

I’m pretty sure Canelo/Hearn are trying to make the Plant fight for September. So Charlo should call
out GGG or Andrade. Although I don’t think GGG would want to fight Charlo at this stage of his career. He is probably banking on fighting Canelo a 3rd time and cash out.

And Charlo the Lioness next opponent is Who? 4 losses and Ko’d numerous times! Another pbc main event mismatch. Endless Showcase fights for Charlo.

The Derevyanchenko fight was not close.

If I misread and you meant GGG vs Derevyanchenko, I agree that fight was very close. So close, it could have gone either way.

There was nothing close about Charlo-Derevyanchenko.
