Their WEIGHT SHOULDNT go up if U are disciplined. Look at HOPKINS, GGG, Canelo,Tyson. Their weight stays the same. REASON why most boxers move up is because they OVER EAT.
YES, their a few exceptions LIKE Pac. He’s just a freak of nature.
ALL BOXERS should be gym rats. You won’t find a model who eats like a pig. It’s their JOB to stay In shape. Same for boxers who like money more than food.

...he'll just start the WBC sanctioned Canelo-class where every fighter has to meet him at 169lbs

So even though you might have as much potential of building muscle at 21 as you have with 25 or 30 the time of exercise will make you grow your frame during that time unless you really restrict your calories. Of course you can maintain your weight if thats your goal, but the natural thing is a slight increase of weight till you are 30. After 30 you will stop developing extra muscle and if you dont work hard you will lose muscle and gain fat.

Newsflash! Canelo has just signed a five-fight deal with PBC. He is going to fight: Derevyanchenko, Dennis Hogan, Brandon Adams, Korobov, and Centeno in that order. After those fights, Canelo plans to retire and concentrate on his business investments.

Seems unlikely since he specifically said he has no plans to go back to 175. I'd think it's more likely once he's unified that he'll challenge Bivol to come down to SMW or GGG to come up.
