And the funny thing is most of these guys are Americans, in around Canelo’s age. But they hide behind their promoters, managers and advisers.

I look at Benavidez for example, he talked all this talk about Plant ducking him and how he can make the fight now, then his manager came out and said the time for the fight isn’t now etc and how they need to build it up and him fighting Yildrim instead.

This is a perfect example of how some of these boxers are either not as ambitious or stopped by their handlers.

Another example is Tank Davis, since the predraza fight he has basically done next to nothing, fighting overblown smaller fighter, picking and cherrypicking enough to be called a “Superstar”.

You have Crawford, Boo Boo all the same age or even older than Canelo, are they active like Canelo? Nope, you have Charlo who talks the talk and then run when the heat gets hotter…

This is why Canelo generates the views and fame that he gets now. He might end up fighting 4 times this year, whilst the others would be fighting low level opponents and barely scraping two fights even if that.

2nd of all you forget ggg was being a diva refusing to budge from his bs claims of being the A side & he thought Canelo would give him 45% in purse bid from corrupt WBC,so you can easily say he couldn't possibly be expected to fight ggg til at least May of 2016

,well he announced on may 6 2017 that he was fighting ggg in sept 2017,so in other words Canelo agreed to fight ggg around 10 months after he could've possibly been expected to.

Of course you salty ggg fans like to pretend Canelo aged your hero. Stop with the lies man, after so long, just stop.

And to top it off you keep parroting the lie that it wasn't ggg who ducked & continues to duck the 3match
All BS but I don't mind to answer, I'm just glad to know that you are very salty and angry and waste time responding even if you know you're wrong.

I appreciate Canelo a lot - the sport was very fortunate to have him on the back burner as Floyd/Pac slowed down. I don't know who else could have stepped in and been ready for that kind of attention. Honorable mention to AJ too who had similar expectation, but not the same

Yes, he was groomed for it but you have to have the requisite skill too. The only thing for me is to just make sure to stay vigilant that the bottom feeders who hope to eat the crumbs that fall off his plate aren't doing their jobs tipping the scales in his favor. There was a time when it felt like that and I can't get as excited as I like to be about the big fights of the year. And that is not to absolve him of the clen thing, but nothing one can do about the past, just clean it up and make it right. He won't convince everyone though and it doesn't mean shady stuff won't be happening again but Ihope he stays mindful of this.

but yeah, I got behind the Saunders fight because that was a good opponent for Canelo to remove some of the doubt - it didn't quite reach the peak and ebb/flow I hoped but I think he's getting a ton of goodwill off that fight and that is what why I wanted to see that one. Feels a lot better to get behind him and his events when it's like that

Also - the way he is just grinding through these fights while some of the circus trainwrecks go on alongside him is also appreciated. Oh, and speaking English for the promotion of this fight went a lot way and will continue to pay dividends I think

it was worth the risk since kova was the bigger name at 168 with a resume full of names too... too good of a scalp for canelo going from 160 to 175...
maybe if there is an undisputed champ he will do it again, otherwise is not worth the risk to go only for another belt cuz he already did it..
            lol.......

If he didn't get guys their highest paycheck, he certainly wouldn't have amassed the resume he does and having everyone want to fight him. It's a shame that some of these guys get in there and don't even look like they are trying to win. Yes he is great at making fighters not fight like usual but they seem happy to be getting paid and putting up minimal effort. Nobody wants to risk losing the Canelo payday and it's ****ing frustrating.

              point well made
canelo has mexican fans and hence money. There's not much reward for Charlo or Andrade to fight each other compared to getting a fight vs a GGG or Canelo.

I've been following Alvarez fights since I first saw him on the Pacquiao vs Margarito undercard..

And I must say he has just carried on moving on the up and up taking on majority off the challengers and the best in his respective divisions...

Does the man have flaws and sometimes do things which people disagree with? sure no doubt but you can't deny his achievements and the attention he draws to his fights he gets most off even the casual viewers interest..

But I digress people will always call out or say fault against him as the hardcore detractors will always have something to say against him regardless to who he beats and whichever belts he unifies/retains or accomplishes.....personally I'm happy to see his career has gotten to where it has

I wanna say, other guys have a potential to be near Canelo or even better, just they do nothing for that.

For example imagine Jermall Charlo fighting and beating GGG, Andrade, Benavidez, than move up to 175 and challenge Bivol?

Or Gervonta Davis fighting Lomachenko, Lopez, Haney?
