I agree with how you scored the fight. I had BJS winning the 5 and 6 also and maybe the feel out round 1 too but besides that Canelo controlled that fight and was setting up BJS the whole fight.

Saw it the same way. Not sure how BJS was supposed to be winning this fight up until he got stopped lol.

Man that makes no sense to me. How in the world is he going to have another 168 title chance? He needs to heal at least 6 months be he returns to training. Then he would have to be hopeful for an elimination bout.

I would even add that in most cases, round one is a charity round for BJS. Given after the fact because humans start to question themselves as the fight progresses, look at their scoring and then adjust (give a freebie) because they start to overanalyze.

That was a real unlucky break for BJS. (No pun intended) He was on a roll till that uppercut landed. But with the benefit of hindsight, he should have kept it long like Mark Tibbs wanted, instead of bobbing around in front of Canelo looking for counters. It looked to me like he got a little greedy and forgot how dangerous Canelo was at that range. The uppercut certainly reminded him, but unfortunately for BJS, it also effectively ended the fight right there and then.

Not saying he would’ve gone onto win, Canelo looked like he could move through gears but BJS was certainly getting a bit better as the fight went on, doesn’t really matter though, It’s a 12 round fight and he got caught with a good shot and it ended.

The problem was he had virtually no power to keep Canelo off him. He landed pretty flush which was evident on Canelos seldom marked face but there was no real pop. Canelo has that Floyd effect that he starts figuring you out as the fights grows old.
