It's moments like Danny Dubois and BJS that remind us that it's only a sport and so the sport may live on.. but when fighters start dying in the ring that's when governments of the world get involved and change the rules. Hence 12 round fights instead of 15. Women fighting 2 minutes for only 10 rounds. Boxing doesn't need another death on the biggest stage

Saunders is guilty of common sense. He's not going to jump through fiery hoops, walk through hot coals, or act like it doesn't hurt. Get well and enjoy the money. If his career isn't over, he's on the down side now.

do I think Saunders is a coward? no he's not. Do I think Saunders received a very rude awakening yes he did. Saunders made one constant mistake this whole fight and that was to duck on instinct when he threw a right hook and then felt Canelo was going to throw a right hook of his own which was then met by an uppercut that he didn't not see. it was something that Saunders should of picked up on considering that these same exchanges had happened in previous rounds and Canelo missed on the uppercut only by inches. Canelo was able to make the slight adjustment and Saunders didnt make any adjustment.

It's a no brainer, you don't let your fighter go back out there with an injury like that. There's a life outside of boxing.

Seeing the quitter remarks on twitter from people within the sport is always surprising. It's like the irony of the whole BJS/Dubios situation is lost on them.

My logic is unless you’ve personally risked serious injury in the ring and haven’t quit, like I have you, you have no right to comment on a fighter quitting....pretty simple to understand.

My 2nd point was if Arthur Abraham could fight almost an entire fight with a broken jaw while getting hit from one of the hardest hitting super middleweights, Then Saunders could have continued if he wanted it. But he didn’t. He quit.

Even if BJS wanted to continue, his trainer should have been looking at that injury and saying no way (and it sounds like the trainer did say this).

Even if BJS wanted to continue and the trainer let him, the ref should have been saying no way.

Even if BJS wanted to continue and the trainer let him and the ref also, the ring doctor should have been saying no way.

BJS is a toe rag and has said many ****** things in his life and done many ****** things. A completely separate issue is that he suffered a horrendous injury that rightly brought the fight to an end. It likely has finished his career. Ridiculous to suggest he should have carried on with such a catastrophic injury.

Ummmm, NO....... It’s only controversial to people who ARE QUITTERS. The mirror always tells the truth.
