Only reason the benavidez fight didn't happen was because fat boy couldn't stop doing Coke and lost his title. Why would plant be scared of a fat mexican let alone a little mexican lol

At this point plant is 30 Years old with a mediocre belt and an even more mediocre record and an even yet larger mediocre accumulation of wealth. At the end of the day Canelo va Benavides would be a bigger gate and a bigger cash maker not to mention more of a battle for canelo given plants lack of mojo with his 12 kos.

I'd rather see Canelo in with Benavidez. At least El Bandera Roja will be throwing punches with bad intentions back at him. I imagine Plant's plan would involve a little "stick" and alot of "move" until he fades and gets busted up.

It doesn't matter tho, Plant has the belt and that's what Canelo wants. Curious to see how negotiations play out. DAZN will probably offer up a king's ransom for that fight, a PBC PPV could potentially pull in more revenue for the fighters. Would Canelo fight on PBC, would Haymon give Plant the blessing to fight Canelo and possibly on DAZN? Look forward to seeing how things unfold.

Hope Haymon doesn’t make this crap fight unless Canelo locks in to face real challenges such as Charlo & Benavidez.. we all know he smokes Plant, Canelo keeps picking on weak champs

Trust me that will be part of the deal. He is going to do just that. Al Haymon is going to want options on Canelo next fight if he allows him to fight Caleb Plant and take his title away from him. Al Haymon is no fool.

Why not? The PBC would just love for the #1 pound for pound fighter in the world to grace their roster and fight on their platform. It's a promoter's dream. Do you remember Manny Pacquiao fighting on the PBC?

It's looking more likely than not that Canelo's next couple of fights could be on the PBC side. Most notably on Fox Sports PPV. Al Haymon is a savvy businessman and he won't allow Alvarez to sign and walk away with his title belt without an option or two on at least one or more of his next fights.
