nard never really called out dawson...thats a fight against someone his size with equal talent, he knows he can definitely lose that one...he'd rather fight the slow plodding, one dimensional adamek for the title and more overrated accolades, then make big name middleweights move up to cruiser to fight him while ducking all the top cruisers and lightheavys...business as usual

jones probably would take the 40% with a fight with nard, but knows the fine print will include a 25% tribute fee to golden boy off the top...

You're implying that Bernard is avoiding a fight with Dawson.

When has Bernard ever done this?

He 'definitely' could have lost the fight to Pavlik. He was a 4-1 dog in that fight, and Pavlik was, in your words ' someone with his size, and talent '.

Bernard has said in interviews that he wants the Dawson fight or the Adamek fight.

What does Bernard gain by being with GBP? I mean he has to pay them fees but what does he have to gain?

I mean, the main reason why he didn't want to make it back then, I understood later, was because he had to give Don King part of his money...Now he's mad because he's gotta pay Oscar, so he don't want to do a 50/50. Well, if he keeps giving his money to all these people and making it to where he can't make the fight, that's not my fault. That's his fault...And now that he sees I'm close to being back to myself, he definitely don't want to see me now," stated former multi-division champion Roy Jones Jr. as he shared his thoughts about the recent confrontation he had with Bernard Hopkins on the Calvin Murphy Show. You don't want to miss what else he had to say in this explosive interview as Jones speaks his mind about Hopkins, Golden Boy Promotions, the current state of boxing, Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr., the likelihood of a future clash with UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and much, much more.

          Roy Is a funny dude
I stopped reading there. Roy is as delusional as some of his fans. I thought Calzaghe beat the belief of Roy being back the last time he beat 3 tomato cans to earn a shot at an elite fighter. I guess someone is going to have to put him in a wheelchair before he looks at the two brutal KO losses, and the one sided defeat to realize he is done as a top fighter.

He makes money from promoting fights. You know, since he is a promoter.

nard had wright and taylor on the table at the same time...
avoided a fight with winky wright closer to winky's best weight (160) and instead fought the more greener taylor...we know how that turned out

you bring up pavlik?...please man hopkins is a natural lightheavy and made pavlik move up two divisions...pavlik's nowhere near hopkins size and above that, never officially weighed in at 170...definitely nowhere near as talented or smart imo and his corner was amatuer at best and it showed in the fight...pavlik wasn't the least bit competitive and made nard look like ali...

he may have said he wants the winner of the dawson fight, but he's also said he doesn't want to fight dawson because he doesn't want to ruin the future of the lightheavy division or some crap excuse...

the way i see it, he'll be rooting for johnson to win so he can avoid dawson altogether by saying he was hype, and sidestep johnson by saying he already ko'd him...nard is garbage..

LMAO, how many times do you like to be owned? Haven't we gone over this, Pavlik IS the exact same size as hopkins and stated numerous times, along with this trainer, that they were having problems making 160 pounds and planned to move up in weight, prior to getting schooled by hopkins.

                  Twins:

                  Hopkins would fuuck up Kelly at 175, 170, 168, 166, 160, 158, 156.

Further, hopkins was a damn middleweight for practically 20 years, so your arguement that he's a natural LHW is ******ed.

Kelly Pavlik was and is all hype. That's why Bernard took the fight and exposed him. The Hopkins and Jones fight will happen. And if Hopkins wants some of Dawson, then he'll have the opportunity to get it. I suggest he takes the Adamek fight. For the Roy Jones fans, he's finished...he won't beat a top fighter.
