So being undefeated beating some solid opponents, being the only man to beat and KO Jermain Taylor at the time was all bull****? He was all hype and yet was able to fool the masses, the experts and vegas which is why he was a 4-1 favorite to beat hopkins?

Kelly Pavlik was and is all hype. That's why Bernard took the fight and exposed him. The Hopkins and Jones fight will happen. And if Hopkins wants some of Dawson, then he'll have the opportunity to get it. I suggest he takes the Adamek fight. For the Roy Jones fans, he's finished...he won't beat a top fighter.

Finally, some ****ing common sense. Pavlik was not hype though. The guy destroyed all comers, and took Taylor out twice. .

I'm sick of Roy fans mouthing off about Hopkins being "afraid" of him.

Hopkins said he no longer wanted to fight Roy after laughing at Roy ringside when he was getting bitchslapped by Calzaghe for 11 rounds.

Hopkins is looking for either serious cash, another title in another weightclass, or the winner of Dawson/Johnson before retirement.

Roy offers nothing at the moment, aside from a name that sounds good on paper.

Let Roy beat Danny Green and get that CW strap and then we might have something to talk about here.

LMAO, how many times do you like to be owned? Haven't we gone over this, Pavlik IS the exact same size as hopkins and stated numerous times, along with this trainer, that they were having problems making 160 pounds and planned to move up in weight, prior to getting schooled by hopkins.

Further, hopkins was a damn middleweight for practically 20 years, so your arguement that he's a natural LHW is ******ed.

stop with the excuses...just because the man had problems making weight at 160, doesn't make him a legit lightheavy or at the least ready to be competitive with a legit natural lightheavy the caliber of nard...just because they had plans to move up, didn't mean he was automatically gonna be a world beater..he beat nobody at 175 and his inexperience showed...above that, you said nothing about hopkins obvious immense talent advantage because you know it was a mismatch in that department...another opportunity for you hopkins nutthuggers to slobber on his overrated nutsack...

...and for the record, hopkins campaigned as a lightheavy and gradually scaled down to 160...its in the books and hopkins admitted himself he starved himself to stay there to reign over a weak middleweight division...

Where the fuuck where all of you people that say Kelly was all hype PRIOR to the hopkins fight?! On this site there was a tiny handful of people, myself included and hopkins fans alike, that predicted hopkins wining. I could count with two hands the total amount of people that picked hopkins to win.
