What are all these posts about a 'beating' and a schooling'?

It was close until the last few rounds when Hamed went looking for a one punch KO, and it ended up 115-112, 115-112, 116-111.

Since when was that such a beating it made someone retire?

The actual loss may have pushed Hamed towards retirement as he was already on the way down at that point, but to call it 'such a beating' is just silly and shows you haven't actually seen the fight.

i dunno i think 9-11 HAD A LOT to do with hamed not coming back..do u remember the word "******" back in those times?? it was simply,despised..

u werent the guy comin down the aisle with a ****** prayer as your entrance and quote from the koran [the ****** version of the bible] and screaming ****** quotes about allah during the man's famous entrances..hamed's religion HAD EVERYTHING to do with hamed being well known..no not popular..but simply WELL KNOWN..

u think of prince hamed and BAM automatically u think ******..unless u werent around back then like me then you'll disagree..

u have 9-11, hameds brittle hands, combine that with his fame and money hamed had little to no chance in coming back..which sucks cause i loved the guy

Hamed got outboxed but at no point was he beaten,Hamed's unusual reflexes made Barrera's punches look so dramatic that the ******s who watch youtube highlights of that fight actually believe that cowardly mexican that Barrera actually beat him up

If you want to go see a real beating go watch the first Pacquiao-Barrera fight or the way Junior Jones shattered Barrera's glass jaw

That whole 9-11 thing never even crossed my mind. I guess I can see how that could have been an issue, but to me I always just thought that Barrera laid out the blueprint to beat Hamed. So any other moderately skilled boxer could just come along and wipe the floor with him. One that could take a punch atleast.

I never paid attention to all that other stuff back then.

nobody one did...or atleast have the balls to mention it.

but barrera definetely beat him pretty convincingly..not as bad as most are making it out to be but convincing nonetheless

Hamed gets props for the KKelley fight, but other than the typical UK sacraficial lambs (Ingle and Pocket Rocket) Hamed fought NOBODIES! I respect the guys power, but Barerra did to him what any top 5 boxer would have done, and that means taking the Prince to school. Skills pay the bills son, and Hamed's one-dimensional game was on display for the world to see that night. Also, throwing ****** insults at an All Time Great Featherweight like MAB doesn't do much for your weak argument. I respect your choice of being a big fan of Hamed (I was too), but re-visit Marco's resume' before you keep making such statements. Peace

I agree with what your saying about insulting Barera, but if u call Wayne McCullough a sacrificial lamb ever again, i will hunt u down and make u watch all of Valeuv's fight with Holyfield on loop until u go insane.
He was (and probably still is) a tough son of a ***** who you couldnt KO with a sledge hammer.

Well, Naseem doesn't strike me as the type of guy the will start crying if he lost.

He's not one who really cared much about stats and figures. He just entertained to make his money.

He was evidently shot to bits after Ingle and his latter career was just a shadow of his former self.

IMO, he is one of the few clever Boxers who got out of the ****** game in time.

Others carry on getting injured, broke or whatever.

                    • complete & utter bullcrap & cop out.

This broken hand is just a reason to try & justify & rationalize his decision. Plenty of fighters fight with broken brittle hands. Paulie, mr.counterfeit cash, gatti, & donaire just to name a few of the top.

he quit b/c he was humiliated by MAB. He tried fighting one more time but but found out he never recovered his confidence, mojo, chutzpah, from the MAB loss. Rather than be a true champion & try to overcome from that loss & he decided to pack it in.

MAB emasculated him. it was his biggest fight, he was undefeated, in his 1st fight in vegas & his elaborate entrances & that islam shout out, then fight happend.......

He could never recover from that emotionally & spiritually.
