He left a big impression on the sport, achieved huge success at an early age and yet never fulfilled his potential, KOd allcomers in spectacular fashion, was unbelievably entertaining, contraversial, brought loads of fans and £££$$$££££ into the sport, and declined rapidly when he lost interest/stopped training properly.

I wouldn't compare the impact he had on the sport the same as Tyson, that's a stretch at best.

I just think he was extremely overrated, he had great power but never really had a defining win.

Barerra did what a world class fighter would have done to him. I know in the UK he has a massive following even to this day. I know this because every few days, some thread will come up about this clown.

He was all show and very little substance. He got beat and QUIT, bottom line. Now he wants to tell people it was his hands? I don't buy it, I just think he doesn't like the fact he's no longer in the lime light. He probably doesn't like the fact that Kahn is in it now as well.

He did have serious hand problems, I remember watching the fight vs Barrera, Prince had to have his hands rewrapped several times.

When you have brittle hands it's important that the wraps are not too tight as the hands will swell and forcing even more pressure and pain on the hands. If the wraps are too loose then the hands looses support and become useless.

That's another reason why towards the end of his career he did not train very much before fights. Another reason why he threw less punches and just relied on the one punch knockout.

He had in the UK, as u noted later in the post. HWs were always famous, Naz brought the lower weight classes to the mainstream.

Yep u wont hear me defend him about that. I love watching the little **** but he could've had some great fights with Eric, Pac and JMM. Better than getting beat by the likes of Williams and McBride though.

im happy Prince didnt fight prime morales..his beatdown [as hard as it is to believe] wouldve been FAR worse..unlike barrera prime morales simply couldnt even be knocked down let alone knocked out..and erik actually had damn good Knock Out power back then..and i dont think he wouldve tolerated hamed's antics..barrera didnt fight even a close to prime naseem....
