I guess there isn't any metric to give a complete picture of a true HW ranking structure. Its all very much opinion and 'whats hot right now' (Ruiz after he beat Joshua).
I feel that because Fury is undefeated, it incorrectly puts him above Joshua - when Joshua has beaten way more top 10 guys, has defended his belts, won titles but the loss means Fury gets the nod at #1. That isn't right IMO because it puts value on fighting Wallin's, Schwarz's, Pianeta's and Seferi's over Parker's, Whyte's, Povetkin's and Pulev's.Comment

No it's because Fury's wins over long reigning champions Wlad and Wilder are miles better than anything Joshua has ever done.

Joshua's best win is still Fury's sloppy seconds.
See my sig, there's a reason why all the experts who compiled those rankings have Fury over Joshua.Comment

I hear you... But that is because of the comp Fury fought, not that he happens to be undefeated. I make this distinction because some fighters TRY to be unefeated and it can ruin them! Ricky Hatton is my prime example for this. The guy who rushed in, attacked the body, had foot speed and was a virtual swash buckler against Zoo, when his dad saw the quid on the table? became a dry humping, safety first mess, and by the time he fought Floyd to cash out, had little resemblance to the original hatton.

My point being, I don't think Fury is trying to be undefeated, fighting safety first in that regard. Both Joshua and Fury have plus and minus with respect to comp... I can understand either side of the argument because to me its not an important indicator for who will win.Comment

Yet Fury had a mental breakdown over fighting those sloppy seconds, that or he flat out ducked.

Nah, he just suffered from a crippling depression because he reached the top of the world and then realised that the only way was down.
Why would Fury duck a man that he won every round against, and who he had been calling out for the previous 4 years?
Tyson Fury has proven that he's scared of no man, unlike Joshua who didn't want anything to do with Deontay Wilder.
