The reason I bring this up is that Mayweather is his mentor and that is part of the playbook.

Pertaining to your last post, of course Floyd is relevant in this situation. He’s the one that made all that A side B side bs what it is today. He took advantage of it in every fight after De La Hoya. He chose the ring size and the gloves that his opponents would use fight night if he wanted to. That emotional female jab jab boom is trying to get Floyd out of the conversation because it goes against his narrative. It wouldn’t surprise me if he said that Alvarez started this A-side B-side nonsense.

It is what is it. No one is putting a gun to the B-sides head to take the fight, decline it if you don't like the terms. Mayweather, Alvarez, Joshua, De La Hoya, Tyson, Leonard, Cotto, Pacquiao were all B-sides at one point, they all fought under the A-side terms.
