He should honestly take the fight. He's got a chance at the Mosley/Clottey winner and a chance at unifying titles.

Mosley-Clottey, Berto-Hlatshwayo Double Takes a Hit

Sounds like HBO is trying to maximize its money. Berto turned down the Shane fight because of the money, and now he is doing it again. He also wanted more of the pie to rematch Collazo. I think he realizes that his "O" will go soon, so he wants to get paid as much as he can to lose it.

Well if Berto refuses to fight who is he gonna fight and for what kind of money? I heavily doubt there are other options for him to make serious money. His job is to keep on winning to make his case. They should move that date to the earlier December date cause Kelly looks like he gonna cancel again. If Berto stays idle and wait he gonna lose money and more fans.

Maybe HBO should do a Mosley/Bertoafrican american/African american) fight and a Clottey/Hlatshwayo(african/african) fight???? Hlatshwayo would actually beat Berto and i think he would rather passed on the fight and go straight to Mosley.

This sounds as a good fights for winner vs. winner on 2010! Although I would pick SSM against Berto if they would come out as victors, Berto's power including his young age nonetheless should not to overlooks! Int the other hands, Berto has every reasons to upset with just $750K offer to fight Hlatshwayo. This is a WW unification bout.. common' don't be so mean by giving meager offer!

But Berto wants to sit on his fat ass and drink eggnog over the Hollidays guys. This whole training camp thing would really throw a wrench in those plans.

HBO would like to put together a welterweight doubleheader on December 26. In the main event, Shane Mosley would defend his WBA "super" welterweight title against the probable challenger Joshua Clottey. As the co-feature, the network wanted an unification bout between WBC champion Andre Berto and IBF champion Isaac Hlatshwayo. Obviously the card is an infomercial to set up a Mosley vs. Berto bout in early 2010. [details]
