Samuel Peter is in my mind the most overated Heavy at the moment. Some are saying he's the future of the division, but to me he's one dimensional and crude and a decent heavy will outclass him

I agree. I dont think he is the most "overrated" because IMO, Danny Williams is the posterboy for that category. Peter is a tank: big and powerful, but also 1 dimmensional and slow. I personally think he is taylormade for any decent HW fighter. Im pretty sure he will run out of gas, after a decent body attack mounted against him.

As for Danny Williams: well look at his last outing.
People in forums all over were speculating as to his chance at
beating VK. If you are promoting a fighter and want their name in the spotlight, then set him up against Mike Tyson. Tyson could be 100 years old, and still fighting. People would recieve credit for wins against him.

Much like he recieved credit for the stiffs he beat in his prime.

Williams got alot more credit than he deserved for the Tyson win. That fight was more due to Tyson's injury than Danny getting stronger. What kind of shocked me and pretty much somes up Boxing at the moment, is that he got a titleshot straight away.

I think Danny Williams was way overhyped by the media for that win, i've followed his carrer for a while now, he was terrible against Julius Francis and Michael Sprott, and got badly KO'D by Samil Sam. I for one did not think he had a hope in hell of beating Vitali

I think williams lost a lot of his heat after he got knocked out by Klitschko though. I say the most overrated is definitely Brewster.

If you want to create a list of overrated HW's. Brewster would be top 5. My mini overrated HW list would include:

              1. Williams
              2. Brewster
              3. Mesi
              4. Barrett
              5. Peter

Tyson damn near 6th most overrated. Everyone thinks he is going to become invincible again. That is surely not going to happen.

                  Vitali is overrated.
He isn't an exciting fighter. The guy makes boxing look bad. Look how he fights. The only reason no one says anything about it is that he knocks people out, he's the real champ, and there is one guy who makes boxing look worse than he does and that guy's name is John Ruiz..

                    You made me chuckle

I expected most of the posts to contain the name Klitchko, but not a mention until yours.

Actually, for me he is exciting. You never know what's going to happen, you just know there's gonna be fireworks, because Klitchko has a high work rate, and he forces the same from his opponents, or they risk being slowly beaten into the canvas. I've said it before, and I'll say it again here...he's so clumsy-looking sometimes, I actually cringe in my seat, but like I said....there's going to be fireworks, no matter what else happens. And the real kicker is that, as bad as he can look, he gets the job done. You can't dislike that, now, really.

Yeah, I agree. With his style (which I actually think is a hinderance), and his akward footwork, it's almost a mystery as to how he stays on his feet and doesn't get hit more than he does, but so far he's managed to dodge the bullet, only time will tell for how long. I actually would like him to stick around awhile, he's a nice guy, it's about time a nice guy finished first lol
