Can we be honest about Canelo scorecards

I thought Canelo beat Trout, Lara, Jacobs and I can see him getting the nod in the second ggg fight but there's no fa cking way he won the first ggg fight and there's no fa cking way he won more than 3 rounds vs Floyd.

I respect the post. Only thing I saw differently is GGG1 was 7-5 for GGG so a draw was acceptable for me. We agree on all the rest.

Canelo definitely did not win GGG1 though. And he lost wide against Floyd. GGG2 was 7-5 either way or a draw

Austin Trout fight should be a loss or a draw but it’s hard to blame Canelo for the last four rounds because there was open scoring.

He should have lost the Lara fight 116-112.

GGG 1 should have been a 116-112 loss.

GGG 2 should have been a 115-113 loss.

Jacobs should have been a draw.

Kovalev should have been ahead on all three cards.

Definitely agree. It's a fun joke & I think there is a Canelo lean, but every name from the biggest to the guy who draws crowds at local club shows gets a lean. I've said "robbery" too *******ly myself at times if I had a guy winning a close fight on my card, but the reality is if it's a close fight there is usually some wiggle room to either guy winning.

Well said. If anyone deserves stroke it would the guy that’s letting his opponent earn more than he ever has or probably ever will. I’m fine enough with the GGG fight outcomes, even if I feel Canelo got more benefit of the doubt. A win for each would have done be just fine. My brother has rewatched the Lara fight a few times, the more he saw it the more he says Canelo won. In a close fight identical scores rarely agree on the majority of rounds. We’re just happy they had the same score but it shows they saw more differently. It’s not something the sport likes to dwell on. But it’s always irked me. Then again judging a fight is hard and eye witnesses are unreliable.

Canelo didn't get an undeserved victory against Golovkin the first time. It was scored a draw, which is very reasonable given how close that fight was.
