Why is Dana so obsessed with boxing like all MMA fans? He should go overdose on coke and **** off.

Or if almost 50 year old Oscar is dumb enough to box an actual decent MMA striker.

These freakshows arent doing much good for anybody in the long run, outside of the few people making money off of it.
That's only because these youtuberes choose boxing as their sport.

If they fought in MMA, their fights would be bigger than biggest UFC fights

Conor/Poirier earlier this year did more PPV buys than Paul/Askren.

          And?

Joshua/Fury will do more than both of these dates fights.

The point is these guys are more popular than most fighters and will outsell them easily.

As I said if they fought in mma they'd be doing better numbers than UFC

The difference is the UFC is on PPV 12-13 times a year doing big numbers fairly consistently,, its not uncommon for them to break a mil on PPV and very common for them to break 500k. They're at 3 mil plus total buys in the opening quarter of the year and about to rematch a fight that did 1.3m last year. Boxing PPV in contrast is pretty much being propped up by this ****.

And where do the PPV numbers for Paul/Askren come from? how much did it cost in the US and how many of the 1.5m buys come from it being on Fite tv worldwide for like $20?

Ufc fans in the USA are suburban and tend to be well off and have always resented the inner city lower income sport of boxing.

Nah Dana and the Fertittas were boxing guys. They were initially going to get into boxing promoting but the UFC being a relatively new thing that was going through a rough patch at the time was available for cheap.
