If a fighter is unable to continue and there was no foul, it has to be a TKO or no decision. This was obviously a case of a fighter flopping and choosing not to continue, and therefore a legit TKO. (Think "No Mas" with Duran and Leonard.) The opposing fighter just surrendered.

Dude... Prograis landed what is now ruled a legal punch that redkach chose to not get up from... literally the definition of a stoppage.

It's very good news that common sense prevailed. Ivan Redkach was obviously looking for a way out and found it. He packed it in and quit; Plain and simple!

It's a knockout basically because Redkach quit but specifically the referee erroneously ruled the punch a low blow which meant Ivan had five minutes to recover from it. After which that time, if he still couldn't continue then the bout would be ruled a TKO victory in favor of his opponent Regis Prograis. You can't win on a foul unless the referee deems the foul intentional and disqualifies your opponent.

Only reason this decision was overturned so quick was due to the fact it was directly against the rules, otherwise if this was fighting the commision soley on the legality of the punch landed, would have been dragged on 6 months or so, when a simple replay shows the punch night and day.

Taylor wont give Pragrais a rematch, if he wins there are some Top Rank in-house fights for him - Crawford, Lopez, Zepeda, Ramirez rematch, Prograis should be pushed to have a meaningful fight vs top 10-15 contender next
