And yes, these sideshows are taking place in boxing, and now make up the lions share of high profile boxing matches with no end in sight. Imagine if the only UFC events that did good numbers were the ones main evented by Youtubers, boxers or 90s MMA fighters in exhibition matches. Its ****ing horrific, and it wouldnt be this way if the biggest available (legitimate) fights actually got made on a consistent basis.Comment

Theres 4 on the opening page lol. MMA fans dont talk about boxing like that because they're not insecure about it. Thats partly because MMA fans tend to be overall combat sports fans more often anyway due to the nature of MMA ie "mixed", but its also because they know that MMA is more popular, that MMA fighters would beat boxers quickly and easily under most combat rules, and that MMA is the more entertaining, fan friendly product by just about any metric you wanna judge it by. Its all just self evident and objective fact. Boxing fans know all this too, thats where the insecurity stems from and thats why the anti-MMA arguments tend to amount to "MMgay" "rolling on the floor" "bar room brawlers" etc.

This guy is deluded MMA Incel I've highlighted how MMA has no global success outside of the US he posts no evidence to contradict this and instead say's it's hard to measure this in third world countries like the UK, Germany and China I highlight the low level and glass chin of MMA bums he turns a blind eye. He tries to state his opinion as fact repeatedly lol he's this boxing forums very own MMA defender lol what sad oaf. It's a good thing he keeps the thread on the home page where the majority of boxing fans look at MMA as a joke and the sad fans still continually crave acceptance. In 20 years America will be majority hispanic and they only watch boxing they are not sold on MMA and won't be MMA as a mainstream sport will not last 20 years. These guys can't fight for ****.Comment

Says the guy that mentally cannot face up to why MMA has higher PPV numbers, the fighters have more social media followers, the forums are more active, the videos get more views, the UFC has a video game and MMA fighters are now involved in the biggest current boxing events, and responds by telling you how boxing is still bigger because Steven Bagwasi is a household name in Botswana.Comment

I get it that a lot of you boxing fans don't like MMA and that's understandable, but as I've been stating since the beginning of this thread, I like both. Been watching boxing since the early 80s in elementary school. Saturday fights on NBC, ABC wide world of sports, etc.. But this era of 10 champions per weight class is getting crazy. There is a UFC card tomorrow night with THREE TOP FIGHTS. The one I'm most interested in seeing is Thug Rose vs Zhang because it's really pick 'em fight. That's the good thing about UFC is that you don't have too many champions with fighting going in facing hand picked challengers with no chance in hell of winning. We're boxing fans. Boxing was like this somewhat when our parents were kids until Don King and Arum ****ed everything up. There was always corruption in boxing, but now it's just at an all time high. I basically had to break it down to some basketball fans who casually watch and don't know more about the sport. I told them:
Imagine if the Clippers, Lakers, Bucks, Nets, and 76ers were all champions in the NBA and they had a chance to choose their opponents, but neither team ever played the Heat, Nuggets, or Suns because they were too good and dangerous. The 5 championship teams all took turns beating up on the Kings, Hornets, and Magic and we never got to see the Clippers , Lakers, or Nets play each other..Comment
