It's different bruh. A boxer trying to take a boxers approach to striking in a MMA fight is gonna be a sitting duck to so many other forms of attacks. A MMA guy isn't training to strike like a boxer for that reason. It'd be a hindrance to his success in the cage to have Floyd caliber skills in there.

And the funniest thing about last night that maybe proves that is that Mir was getting KO'd left n right with his standup in MMA cuz it was no good there, but oddly in the ring he went the distance cuz he could grind it out better without having to worry about other types of attacks that could be coming at him in the cage while boxing. Maybe Mir's boxing ain't THAT bad as fooked up as that sounds to say outloud lol. It definitely didn't help him in the cage vs also ran guys who KO'd him, but got him the distance vs a ex-boxing title holder.

I agree with you panda bear. There’s a difference in stance. But I’m saying that they often suck in even in their stance. Justin Gaethje telegraphing punches from his waist to the moon and back was no benefit to him against Khabib.

BTW I’m a MMA fan. But I like the specialists who use what they’re best at. Khabib, Maia etc

Paul is a joke. Knowledgeable mma fans knew Askren was cooked. His grappling got him a decent record and a couple of belts but he was never in this. Took it for the money. You boxing purists who think this is some sort of win for boxing are out of your ****ing minds. There was nothing to take from couture choking toney out and there's nothing to take from this. And jake Paul is ****ing disgrace to humanity. What an utter ass.

This is true. Askren is known as one dimensional in MMA. He's all wrestler. This was no boxing victory over MMA.

Actually, I think boxing looked worse. Cunningham should have been able to EASILY KO Mir!! Cunningham can throw blistering overhand rights, as natural as a fish can swim. Look at the shots he took Huck out with! Mir should have been out in 2 or 3. Cunningham carried him.
