So no, Manny, nor floyd, are better than Armstrong.
    - - What Manny did for boxing can never be replicated either, ie 6 division titles while traversing 8 divisions setting P4P records never to be broken while wrecking the Amigos and the Crack Daddy Floydy Family.

It was bad enough with just 3 titles after the IBF became a major title in the 80s, but now it's just all the way out of control. Then manny has all of that "catchweight" nonsense. No, he's not a top 10 fighter all time. Boxing has over a hundred year history. It's not like the NBA or NFL. And even as a die hard Patriots fan, I have always said Tom Brady is not the greatest qb ever in this puzzy era of football not being able to touch a qb.
I think they’re both firmly in the top 10 tbh. It depends on criteria, but you can make a very strong case for both as top 10.

I also have Brady as the GOAT QB but will admit I’m nowhere near as educated on NFL as I am on boxing. For me personally, his longevity stands above any other QB as do his accomplishments.

Vs his two most significant opponents, Pac is 2-1-2 with two razor thin wins, a draw, a lopsided decision loss and an out cold KO loss. Can’t be the GOAT like that.

Brady? Forget the longevity. Tom has 7 super bowl rings (more than any other player or franchise), that tells the story.

What’s up with Filipinos bombing the boxing scene page with Manny the goat threads?? They’re spamming the site.

You’ve got to also remember guys like Robinson and Armstrong were The Champion in every division they fought in, lineal and undisputed. Pacquiao has 4 or 5 lineal championships but never became undisputed. He also never beat the same level as opposition as some of the other greats. Take SRL for example, undefeated Benitez, undefeated Hearns, 70-1 Duran, Hagler who had dominated 160 for the best part of a decade. Pac has a tremendous resume in his own right but it’s simply not on that level.

Pac is easily a top 10 ATG, but he’s not the GOAT. I mean that in the most respectful way possible too, I love Pac he’s a true legend.
Yes but how many foreign fighters were there back in the day ? The Eastern Euros were not competing.

Thurman was aight (considering the poor performance and layoff). That super flash KD saved him.

It was set up if you know boxing and how things went down, fans only see a fight and follow the hype which is created for fans and around it goes, the vast majority have no clue what they are actually seeing let alone the weights and measures, opponents prior form etc etc that's the stuff left out of the hype, fans don't see nor understand any of the shenanigans that create winners before a punch is thrown.
