To be fair to the American fight fans the Boxers themselves are fkking embarrassing right now. You got excuse king Wilder with a joke of a resume, you got Spence and Crawford not happening which is one of the biggest fights in the whole sport, and you got the serial clout chasers like Jermall Charlo and Tank Davis who call out so many names and then refuse to fight any of them.

No wonder American fans have a warped view of the sport when the sportsmen themselves are so warped.

Old Man Ortiz cleans out shot Wlad and everyone else Fury fought (except Wilder of course).

If you need to laugh at a resume, dial up a Euro bum

          This.

Hearn has completely turned me off a lot of British boxing. Its a successful model, but not one that works if you want to see talented fighters.

Why are you guys stuck on this undefeated record? Like MMA doesn't care, younger brits with undefeated records are fighting each other, i gave examples of those. And i remember saying this is why american boxers don't want to fight each other unless its on PPV for more money, hence why we wouldn't see Ortiz v Ennis, hence why we wouldn't see Garcia v Haney, hence why we haven't seen Bud/Spence or Plant/Benavidez.
The prominent boxers minus maybe Fury and Taylor have ALL underperformed or just straight been washed once they stepped on American shores. The reason why MMA isn't an issue is because no one sits there inflating the egos and resumes of MMA fighters because, by and large, they don't get to spend a lot of their career fighting B-tier fighters only to get outclassed when they meet a truly live dog. The problem isn't Hearn boxers losing, its Hearn boxers being made out to be something special. Look at what happened to the likes of Smith and Joshua, not only were they beaten but their performances were kind of embarrassing. Hearn builds up a lot of these guys like they're a big deal, Americans pick up interest and then they laugh when those same guys don't deliver.

The money issue is one to acknowledge though.

Not sure how Americans can laugh at others losing considering no Americans were involved in Smith/Canelo or Joshua/Ruiz 1. I laugh at Americans for being proud that they spend tens of millions of dollars more to watch the same fights, that I pay a quarter to watch. Its like enjoying being robbed.

Just to pre-empt the whole 'Ruiz is American'. Ruiz prefers to be known as Mexican, rather than American. It must be too much of an embarrassment.

American boxing fans are ruthless or very passive towards there own fighters, but they can embrace overseas fighters 'If they invade america'.

Tyson Fury is the latest overseas fighter they have embraced.

I agree with the sentiment of us having significantly more champions than other places. And even that doesn’t sway the hardcore fan, but promotions tend to sit a fighter with a loss on the bench for a while to promote their rising star. So it may seem as though we forget, but promotion definitely changes. Also lest we forget presently the disdain not only euros but all fight fans give when their countries beat an American fighter, its gross. Deontay Wilder, jeff lacy, even porter when he lost to brook, English fans made those seem like David vs Goliath conquests and you’re so omnipresent on here. That contributes to the image of a forgotten fighter, even if US fans would still support
