If you are a belts guy, you should think what he's doing is genius.

Holding all 4 belts cost about 12% or more of your purse, money the BS orgs don't deserve. That's why Floyd never held more than one or two at the same time. Davis, if he beats Barrios (if it even happens at this rate), can be a 3-division champ at the same time and pay just one fee in the division he chooses.

I repeat. All belts are garbage, but most fans don't recognize someone without a belt a champ. That's kinda sad that some fans depend so heavily on orgs to tell them what is what.

That regular WBA garbage used to be GGG's only and favorite for years. Never seen Gervonta even talk about those belts he holds.

" . . . that’s the whole reason you enter a final eliminator. There’s no other reason to fight a final eliminator, without wanting to fight the champion. "

Maybe the only true words from Hearn's lips for at least three years!

Manny isn't fighting a damn Crawford.

Ryan can't box. Haney will win as long he blunts Ryan's power and Ryan is hittable with hay makers from the out field. Ryan might catch Haney, but of the two styles. Haney is more survivable. He's practised in the art of escapeology.

You say you're not a fanboy but does it really make sense for you to say, you love fighters who take meaningful fights, then chose to fanboy the guy who has taken the least amount of meaningful fights?

Everyone took a step up at 135 recently except Haney.

Lots of good fights recently and none of them involved Devin Haney.

            Teofimo vs Loma
            Campbell vs Garcia
            Verdejo vs Nakatani

All good fights and all better fights than Devin Haney has ever dreamed of.. ****, even Fortuna vs Linares was in play until he got COVID and all your boy did was talk smack on twitter.

That should speak volumes but instead you believe everyone is ducking the email champion which in your mind is better than a social media champion.

And to that I ask, how? Devin Haney is not the A side against Ryan Garcia and he does not have more fans. He doesn't sell more tickets and he's less marketable.

            How is that better?

Id honestly like to know. I'd also like to know how you think Garcia vs Fortuna is ducking Haney, but somehow Linares isn't a cherry pick not to fight Garcia. Is 35 year old Linares truly SO MUCH better than Fortuna?

The way I see it Fortuna and Linares are about the same level so i have no problem with Garcia/Haney establishing themselves by fighting top 10 guys.

We don't even know if Haney belongs because he's looked piss poor in his past few outings against no one relevant. Like come on dude. You couldn't even look good against an old, blown up Gamboa, coming off of a major surgery and loss.

In what way am I fanboying Haney? I’m not American and I have never watched any of his fights live, as I did with Ryan’s most recent fight. But I know, as well as anyone here that Haney hasn’t got those big fights for lack of trying - he’d fight Garcia, Teo and Loma in his next fight if he could. Didn’t he position himself as mandatory to Loma, only for WBC to elevate him to franchise champion, while Garcia has called out everyone but him?

You are totally confused - the only person I called out as ducking Haney is Garcia. Anybody else is complete irrelevant, but now you mention it, I genuinely think Teo would fight him after his mandatory.

And quit with this “less marketable” BS - the ultimate lame excuse used by fanboys nowadays to defend their golden heroes. Should AJ get a pass if he chose not to fight Fury or Wilder because they’re less marketable for instance?

All I’m saying is that if Garcia is fighting Fortuna for a fraction of the money he’d get against Haney after he won the WBC eliminator, then it’s a duck. And the only reason Haney is fighting Linares, who coincidentally has beaten Campbell, is because Garcia wants no part of him.

Finally, Teo is way out ahead on his own in terms of accomplishments. Beating a fighter who got dominated and dropped by Loma doesn’t count as comparable step up to Teo in any way. It’s crazy putting those two in the same bracket when comparing ‘step up’ fights.

And why would garcia fight to become mandatory, only to keep ducking the champion, and fighting lower level opposition?

Start holding these guys to the fire, instead of making excuses for them.
Haha. You're Funny with the idealistic naivete. I'm no Garcia fan but I can also look at things from non-bias viewpoint and realize there's a difference between should happen and the reality of a situation.

Would I want to see Garcia and Haney fight? Sure, I think Haney looks like a skilled fighter and I think he'd be a difficult opponent. I don't know because his best win is a very faded Gamboa. How exactly did Haney earn that belt and against who? Who has he beaten to tell me he's better than Fortuna?

Anyway, keep holding those guys to the fire with those passionate words on a boxing forum and keep fighting the good fight. Maybe while you're doing that, Devin can find a noteworthy oppoment and I will continue to be the kind of fan we need less of.

I noticed you have several pictures of Errol Spence on your profile. Are you holding him and Crawford "to the fire" for that not happening? How do you feel about him saying he deserves an 80/20 split against Crawford? Or is that situation "different" for you?

No one is checking for Devin Haney AT ALLLL

Fortuna or Haney?? It’s no difference to overwhelmingly most fans.. No one cares about whether Haney fights at all besides a few hardcores.

the people want the people’s champ Ryan to face Pac Man or Tank

Coz Hearn doesn't give a crap about him. Hearn liked and valued Farmer more. They need to figure out that situation. Haney is better suited with Floyd. He needs more development and babying. Davis should go to Hearn, Arum, or Oscar. Anyone who can keep him active is fine in my book. There isn't much loyalty in boxing. Get it and get out.
