Thats why it isn’t a good offer.

Im sorry you don’t want me to mention that but it’s very true. Garcia is 20-nothing years old and a superstar without fighting anyone.

Hes going to risk all that so s few diehards respect him more? That would be dumb.

I’m not anointing him a HOFer. I’m just pointing out that he isn’t getting offered enough to take that risk.

I’m talking **** about Hearn because he pretends every fighter is scared of his fighters. It’s annoying.

I understand that he’s a successful promoter. Good for him. I hope he thanks his daddy everyday.

Im not cheerleading for Ryan Garcia. I don’t even like him. It would just be clearly ****** for him to fight Devin Haney right now unless Hearn offers way more money. And it would probably still would be a ****** idea even if the offer increased.

And what does Garcia gain by fighting Fortuna? You see the problem with this argument? I think what you mean to say is that Haney isn’t worth the risk - just get straight to the point.

And who told you money is the blocker? Has Garcia said this publicly or do you know something we all don’t? For all we know, the money on the table for Haney could be the same as the Davis fight he was chasing. It could well be that he doesn’t fancy it regardless of the money on offer.

Seems like your issue with Hearn is deep-rooted. I don’t really care for him to take you up on it, so each to their own.

And quit with the “Garcia doesn’t need him” BS. This is why I rate fighters like ODLH and Pacquiao so highly - taking meaningful fights against top-rated challengers when they could have fought just about anyone else. This sort of modern-day boxing fan talk needs to die.

Let Garcia duck and dodge however much he likes, but when he retires, let’s not hear any HoF/legend talk from anyone if he keeps up this behaviour. He’s a social media champion for now and nothing more, until he decides to step up like the great fighters of recent years.

And criticise him all you want, but Hearn is out there promoting the biggest fighters in the game with positive feedback from the people that matter (his own fighters) and making millions in the process, while you’re on here fanboying a 22-year old man. As a promoter to Haney and others, he’s doing exactly what a good promoter should be doing by keeping them in the spotlight and calling out potential opponents.
Just curious why you love Devin Haney so much if you like fighters who take on meaningful fights.

You say you're not a fanboy but does it really make sense for you to say, you love fighters who take meaningful fights, then chose to fanboy the guy who has taken the least amount of meaningful fights?

Everyone took a step up at 135 recently except Haney.

Lots of good fights recently and none of them involved Devin Haney.

      Teofimo vs Loma
      Campbell vs Garcia
      Verdejo vs Nakatani

All good fights and all better fights than Devin Haney has ever dreamed of.. ****, even Fortuna vs Linares was in play until he got COVID and all your boy did was talk smack on twitter.

That should speak volumes but instead you believe everyone is ducking the email champion which in your mind is better than a social media champion.

And to that I ask, how? Devin Haney is not the A side against Ryan Garcia and he does not have more fans. He doesn't sell more tickets and he's less marketable.

      How is that better?

Id honestly like to know. I'd also like to know how you think Garcia vs Fortuna is ducking Haney, but somehow Linares isn't a cherry pick not to fight Garcia. Is 35 year old Linares truly SO MUCH better than Fortuna?

The way I see it Fortuna and Linares are about the same level so i have no problem with Garcia/Haney establishing themselves by fighting top 10 guys.

We don't even know if Haney belongs because he's looked piss poor in his past few outings against no one relevant. Like come on dude. You couldn't even look good against an old, blown up Gamboa, coming off of a major surgery and loss.

One happy thing about this thread is: None of the members are talking about belts or alphabet orgs. Ignore these crooked parasites as much as you can. All belts are meaningless.

What belt is Davis fighting for next again?

I’d rather see Garcia fight Tank Davis.

I'm not a Garcia fan but his victory over Campbell is better than anything on Haney's resume and a victory over Fortuna (who is no walkover) would also be better than anything on Haney's resume. I don't rate the win over a very faded Gamboa that high.
Lol. Exact type of fan we need less of. What does Haney bring to the table? A belt for one. I'm pretty sure he brings more to the table than Luke Campbell or Javier Fortuna.

And why would garcia fight to become mandatory, only to keep ducking the champion, and fighting lower level opposition?

Start holding these guys to the fire, instead of making excuses for them.

This is really about Eddie the con artist going at De La Hoya for him dismissing Hearn talking about taking over boxing & becoming the next Dana White who has monopoly with the UFC.
