Comments Thread For: Hearn: We've Got To Put Pressure On Ryan Garcia To Fight Haney If They Both Win
Eddie Hearn still can't comprehend why Ryan Garcia refused to fight Devin Haney after winning a dangerous elimination match against Luke Campbell and earning a title shot.

“No problem. I mean, two great fights, as long as we get the fight we want at the end of it. You know, but it kinda skirts around the fact that, which, you know, most media and everybody refuse to mention, the fact that Ryan Garcia has refused to fight Devin Haney, and he was his mandatory.”
It's a clear DUCK, plain and simple! He would've got a pass from me had he actually fought Pacquiao or Tank! Fortuna??? Start making AFLAC commercials!

I still give Garcia a pass, but it is a duck. No two ways about it. You can tell he isn’t ready for Haney, because every time Haney and him are in the ring, he always says later, later etc
So he knows he needed more work, he used Tank to skirt around Haney last time out. I mean Tank is with PBC, how was that fight supposed to happen when GBP are with DAZN.
Who is WE!?!? LOL this clown Hearn begging his white buddies in the media to do his job..
Haney has fought NO ONE & looks poorly doing so..
Ryan has the juice and has no zero need for Haney’s fake trinket that Hearn purchased from the WBC.. they can all kick rocks..
Ryan is shooting the stars and wants to give the fights the PEOPLE want. NO ONE is clamoring to see HANEY fight at all
Who the hell was asking for Garcia-Fortuna..are you okay? And to Hearn’s point, why is Garcia happy to take a quarter of the money fighting him as opposed to Haney?
It’s true, Garcia can do whatever he wants and it clearly seems like he has a large group of sycophantic supporters that will back his every move regardless. This doesn’t stop the clear-headed observers here calling out Ryan’s latest move for what it is - a clear duck.
Hearn pretends like no one wants to fight his fighters.
Maybe he should make better offers.
How do you know that’s the reason Garcia turned it down - did Garcia say this publicly or give you a private call? Is 4 times as much money to fight Haney compared to Fortuna not a reasonable starting point?
