Really it's not just about boxing, life in general growing up the most racism i faced where from mexican americans. They would talk mad **** to me because i was born in mexico. I personally dislike oscar and vargas but not because they are mexican american. I'm a Diaz fan so it has 0 to do with race. It's just a bigger deal when a mexican doesn't like a mexican american fighter. Most people don't like OScar because of what he did against tito and vargas because he's a cholo.

It's kind of like when you have a cousin that lives in the ******, and he resents you for living in a nicer neighborhood and think your a ***** or a square because of it. It's funny too because one minute they're hating on Mexican Americans and the next minute they're risking their life to become an American too

this makes the most sense to me. I'm not a mexican citizen, but i am of mexican decent. i'm proud to be a mexican american. and i do believe mexicans did like vargas. vargas always had julio sr in his corner and because of that gained many fans.
