Why do "real Mexicans" hate US born Mexican fighters?

Because of traditional reasons. To Mexicans tradition and respect and being humble is very important. A Mexican American or "Pocho" is a dilluted for of Mexican in their view. For example Traditional Mexicans are not big-mouths typically, Vargas was.
Mexicans traditionaly greet people known to them with a hug and kiss, Pochos don't.
Mexicans will offer you their food and Pochos will give you their leftovers.
Typically Pochos don't speak the Spanish that Mexicans do, they speak Spanglish, or sometimes they don't even speak that.
I have a friend that doesn't speak a lick of spanish but looks more Mexican than anyone in my family.
There are tons of reasons why Mexicans prefer Mexicans, but I wouldn't say that they HATE Pochos.
I think it's the whitewashing of their culture that most irritates us.

not true...i was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon and I hate that cheating scumbag! He's a fraud who should die a slow painful death!
