bottom line is this fight, winning it, will pull bud to equal or even with spence...which is the way i felt it always should be....but haymon was doing a better job with spence than arum was with bud....this will help bud immensely...i hope it happens.....but do realize the letdown if this fight falls through...it will hurt bud....i really hope it does happens cause i think pac is still a good test and a good business play for bud......but if somehow it doesnt come off its going to be a bad look
I don't care about promoters or managers. I care about fans. If the promoters, fighters, and managers continue to not give the fans what they want like this, the sport will die and they'll have nobody to blame but themselves.

In EVERY other sport teams play the opponents you want them to play, why should it be so hard in boxing? We should get a super bowl every year, not once ever 10 years.

"he was dropped by kav doe" "he was never really that good doe" etc
You say that but it's embarrassing when you got people on this board who make 5 threads a day like "look at canelo hitting the heavy bag, he is such a BEAST"," but you only seem to care when I defend Terence from all the **** you guys give him on this board. You don't know what fanboyism is. I made this thread saying I was dissapointed that fans and the media will blow this win for Bud out of context, that's the opposite of fanboyism, go read the dictionary or something.

if any of them happen to be shot in that fight, no fault of Bud

People talk about how Spence is this financial king now because he took a complete joke of a fight with Mikey Garcia, a fight that got a ton of foolish DICAF fans to attend and watch thinking Mikey has a chance. And now he's the boss because he won this ****** fight.

Well, Bud just one upped y'all big time. I hate this fight. I like Terence Crawford because he was out building a legacy, fighting the best available comp in his weight classes and not going after bull**** smoke and mirrors fights for massive paydays, even if it means the idiot casual fans will call people like Postol or Horn bums. This is a fake fight, a smoke and mirrors fight, a fight that will be one of the easiest of Bud's career, but will trick the casual fans into thinking he's a legend now.

But now when he beats Manny Pacquiao, who is a shell of his former self and got his ass beat by Jeff Horn, Bud will be able to say that he dethroned a legend, just headlined a ppv that did half a million or a million buys, and gets to call all the shots now. And espn will fawn all over it. It's ****** as hell. But that's what y'all wanted and y'all got it.

This is what happens when the fans care more about business than boxing. It is killing our great sport.

I can see it now. When Bud beats Pacquiao, he will become the diva that y'all wanted him to be. Just like the other divas everyone glorifies in this sport. It's a sad day for the sport, but this is what you have to do to get fights now I guess.
You are assuming PAC Bud does big PPV numbers , which is assuming a lot.

Some not all but Some Pacquiao fans doesn't seem to want him in with Bud or Spence! A lot of them want Mikey Garcia and even McGregor still despite him losing his last fight. Not just Pacquiao fans but a lot of these "Just A Fan Of A Boxer" type of fans have more concern about who their favorite guy could potentially lose probably more than anything. It sounds crazy but YES some of these fans are that emotionally attached that they just don't want to see their guys lose to another certain fighter so they start doing the "He Is Boring" "He Is Not A Draw" Deflecting Tactics to try and downgrade that fighter so that their favorite fighters won fight him. That is just FEAR from Fans honest who knows deep down, that type of opponent terrifies them to have to see their favorite guy in with such a big threat.

Stop Protecting Fighters! This is their job and they get paid Millions for it so if anything you should be pushing more for your favorite fighter to fight the very best so that you can Brag rights when they win over the other guys fans. That is all Fans care about really, is to be able to jump on Social Media and Proclaim their guy is the best and the greatest. Which is why when these guys favorite fighters lose they run and create new Accounts or just stop coming to Boxing Scene Forum all together OR they comeback making excuses: "He Cheated" "He Was Weight Drained" "Did They Drug Test?" and all that garbage fans do now because they're just not man enough to accept defeat and give the other guy his props and root harder for their guy to comeback stronger than ever

Pacquiao legacy is Cemented, if he was to lose to Crawford it won't hurt him at all, it would be like Ray Leonard losing to Terry Norris, he is suppose to beat a Old Fighter. Not So Fast! Pacquiao still fast, still have big Power, still very dangerous. I'm Not writing that man off at all not against Bud or Spence. He can easily get in that ring and Clip Bud or Spence with that big Left Hand, this is boxing anything can happen especially when you actually have Power

I'll say it again, Bud vs. Manny is a smoke and mirrors fight. Just like Spence vs. Mikey was, and even Spence vs. Danny. Just like Canelo vs. Kovalev. And many many more.

This seems to be what the fans want these days though.

Pacquiao, even at his absurdly advanced age, is still extremely dangerous. All the Pacquiao haters think that Pacquiao is gonna get knocked out every fight and he just keeps chugging along putting together one of the greatest careers in the history of the sport.

And Manny, even at 43 (lol) would still be far and away Crawford's biggest test. Like by miles. Crawford is a superb fighter but his resume is soooooooooo subpar. Manny's last W (Thurman) would EASILY be the biggest name on Crawford's resume. Manny has seen everything that can be thrown at him ten times over. in 37 professional fights Crawford has never even shared the ring with an A level guy. Not once. His resume is littered with B level and below guys. And he got freaking dropped and hurt by Kavaliauskas for f***k's sake. He's not invincible by any means.

Of course I'd favor Crawford -- only because of the fact that Pacquiao is forty-freaking-three, but yes it will not be a walk in the park for Crawford. I'm sure a lot of people thought Thurman would retire Manny in spectacular fashion and ask Keith how that went.

Err, get you facts straight. Yildrim as sad as it was the mandatory and since Canelo said he wants to unify he had to give that bum a shot. You can't call out Canelo's mandatory when Crawford has faced his.

Wow lol I missed that. Does that guy genuinely believe that Crawford is "building a legacy" with that resume of his?
