I agree with everything you said, goes to show you how cowardly the PBC welterweights are tho, they'd rather let Manny take the bullet & fight Bud instead of daring to be great. It's truly embarrassing. But they will get what they wished for. Bud will demolish Manny, Bud will become the A side because he dethroned a legend and has the most pay per view buys. There will be zero excuses for Spence to avoid this fight or demand anything more than 50-50 because Bud will be the A side now.

Here is the flaw with your statement, boxing has ALWAYS been about business. The A side has ALWAYS called all the shots from SRL to DLH to Floyd to Pac to Canelo etc.

I'm sure there are fans that just don't want to see Pacquiao go out on his back or getting destroyed, but I respect this move so much if this is how he chooses to go out. And who knows, maybe he has ONE more performance in him where he competes and gives himself a chance to win. It is unlikely, but Pacquiao is a f'n legend and I love it.

This fight also is great for building up the Spence showdown for later this year, should both win. I personally love this fight and I'm happy Crawford is getting his shot at a big name....If the fight does indeed happen. If not, I still would love him to fight Porter.

too many of these guys around here refuse to live in reality and play the "im sick of this business nonsense"...." i want the fights i want when i want them and i matter goddamit" BS.....your opinion has never mattered to managers, promoters or the fighters...if they did it was very few of them......when you fail the acknowledge that the dollars rule you fail to acknowledge a longstanding reality....money is why fights do and dont get made.....thats just how it goes....as a human id love to see the fights i want when i want them...thatd be great....but i know that will never happen and i try to adjust my expectations accordingly

for the record i dont hate the fight...i think its good for bud to help tip the scales with spence to even....to me it should be a 50/50 fight as far as money....but the way things were going it was tipping in spences favor more than it should.....bud needs this fight badly

again...see my previous post that i replied to someone else...and my stance on the business side of boxing...you need to accept that it exists, always will and it plays a large role on if/when fights get made.....you should give a **** because that stuff matters to promoters, fighters and managers...and last time i looked those guys make fights and people like you do not....realize we dont really matter....if you go they will not lose sleep and youll be replaced.....accept and understand the business side and how pivotal of a role it is in the sport......stop fantasizing about a day when fighters will fight who and when you want them to...it will NEVER happen

bottom line is this fight, winning it, will pull bud to equal or even with spence...which is the way i felt it always should be....but haymon was doing a better job with spence than arum was with bud....this will help bud immensely...i hope it happens.....but do realize the letdown if this fight falls through...it will hurt bud....i really hope it does happens cause i think pac is still a good test and a good business play for bud......but if somehow it doesnt come off its going to be a bad look
