Sloppy journalism like that, plus gullible and/or agenda driven fans, are the reason why the corrupt WBC get away with the bull**** they do.
The IBF often does this, and then will force back to back mandatories. So yes, that would have still made it a final eliminator.

He also turned down an IBF final eliminator against Pulev, and a direct title shot against Joshua. He habitually turns down fights that will get him title shots, or even title shots only to cry about how everyone is keeping him down and his fans lap it all up.

What he IBF does is irrelevant in a discussion about the WBC, Wilder, and Dillian Whyte.

Whyte turned down the IBF eliminator with Pulev for the same reasons Jarrell Miller did, which I won't go into here. He turned down the AJ fight because he didn't like the rematch clause terms and was fixated on getting a mandated shot at Wilder, which he was 100% confident of winning.

King posted two different articles that both called it a final elim. Not an elim, a final elim. All you've done is tell me what you think/thought those fights are.

I am curious why both of youse seem to assume a secondary mando negates a final elim status though.

It was a final eliminator for the position of second mandatory, which wouldn't have been ordered until least a year after the "first" mando took place, and the first mando itself hadn't yet been ordered at that point.

The article I linked to explains that situation, and also debunks another accusation often made against Whyte at this forum .. that he also refused a final eliminator with Breazeale. Whyte/Breazeale was ordered by the WBC, but the order was withdrawn and Breazeale was reinstated to the mando position after Tyson Fury pulled out of an immediate rematch with Wilder.

Y'all seem to have a hard time staying on track. I don't see anything here that debunks anything I've said. It seems to agree. The WBC Silver is not an automatic mandatory. Ortiz-Whyte would have been a final eliminator. It's all there.

Yes, it's all there, but you have obviously decided to see only those parts of it that fit your agenda.

"The organization ordered a final heavyweight title elimination fight between England's Dillian Whyte (23-1, 17 KOs) and Miami-based Cuban defector Luis "King Kong" Ortiz (28-1, 24 KOs) for the right to become the division's second mandatory challenger behind Dominic Breazeale for the right to challenge titlist Deontay Wilder."

Well, yeah, but what agenda is that? You seem to think I've posted an opinion about Whyte or Whyte ducking or Ortiz ducking or whatever. No, I saw some **** that was blatantly wrong and corrected it.

If you want to argue with a guy who said Whyte ducked then go ahead, I don't care, but if you're going to defend Whyte don't tell lies like "But da Silver title doe, it made him mando doe" it didn't and never did. That's the beginning and end of my agenda I won't let you steer me out of.

Those are the parts because that's the extent. It being a secondary mando isn't anything I corrected so I'm confused as to why I am meant to give a **** or why I'm being accused of some poorly hidden motive. It's very much on the surface, Redeemer was wrong and I pointed it out....everything else is bull**** y'all want to talk about that doesn't negate redeemer being wrong in any way even a little bit.

To be very blunt, I don't care and didn't argue about who ducked who.
