Cotto was a very good win. Cotto was only 35, and yes smaller. But weight wasn't what made the fight stand out, it was the utter dominating show that Canelo put on.
Golovkin - no matter how you think the 2 fights went and what you think the scores should be, Canelo and G are very evenly matched and produced 2 technical masterpieces. In the same way, no matter what people thought about Hagler-Leonard, the fact that their names are mentioned together are huge boost.
Callum Smith - I rated Callum quite high, in his prime, WBSS winner. It was very impressive seeing how easily Canelo dismantled him.
I wholeheartedly agree, especially about Callum Smith. Smith was seen as a huge threat after winning the WBSS and I don’t think that the tough night against John Ryder turned him into a journeyman overnight.

If you're talking talent, there are a lot of better fighters out there.

You want me to go down the list for the entire sport or something? Man, like if you can't tell who's better you're just going to criticize everything I say. You just don't know what you're looking at. Smoke and mirrors Canelo is, it's time to wake up man.

It was a well set up punch but lets face it, Khan was clearly the superior boxer. Canelo just won because of his size, most middleweights would have taken that punch just fine but Canelo was fighting a guy much smaller than him with no chin to begin with.

Now when Terence Crawford fought Khan on the other hand, he completely outboxed him, outclassed him, and even put him down in round 1, despite Crawford being the much smaller man coming up from 135 to 147, while Canelo was a massive "Canelo Weight" fighter who'd rehydrated to 185.

Canelo has 3 good wins that weren't with a ton of controversy. Cotto. Smith. Jacobs.

Cotto is the same guy that got badly outboxed by Austin Trout just before. Prime Cotto is a hall of fame and a legend, but after that criminal assault he took to Maragarito, he was NEVER the same again. Yes he bounced back from the trout loss to beat a couple of bums and a crippled Martinez, but he was still damaged goods.

Smith is the guy who lost to John Ryder. Typical European bum straight up and down no special effects.

Jacobs is the same guy who just lost to Rosado. Decent American fighter, but not on Andrade or Charlo's level. He went life and death with Ishe Smith barely got by Denvenchenko, and got dropped by Sergio Mora.

None of these are great wins for Canelo.

He doesn't have one great win. His fights agains GGG could had gone either way but some thought he was going to get KOed and did much better than all. He has a bunch of good wins with name fighters and has been consistent. His resume is filled with names and very few active fighters at this moment can match that. That is why I have him over Crawford on the P4P list.

They say that Crawford is fighting Porter or Pacquiao next. If Crawford wins without controversy, which he absolutely will, there can be no doubt that Terence Crawford must be #1 on the p4p list since Canelo has never beaten a fighter anywhere near that level without controversy.

That is strictly your opinion. Bud is the goods but his level of opposition has been subpar. I was hoping to see him against better names but he gets too caught up in negotiations instead of glory. He would be one of the top earners if he would had taken the fights that mattered.

                  Hmm

I thought this would be easy to answer but WTF! It just shows that you can be critical of any and every fighter basically but I would say the second GGG fight I thought he won 115-113

Talent or resume as of right now. Canelo is not "elite"/ATG to me. He has a lot of asteriks, and he represents a lot of good, and a lot of bad that comes with boxing. That being said, he is the most talented boxer in resume and skills to me. If you disagree, who are some boxers right now who are better? I'm always down for healthy discussion. I don't do ****riding.

                      Sounds like BUM Crawford
