Roach is a selfish prick. His desire for Mayweather (and boxing consequently) to do bad, so Pac and them can have the upper hand in negotiations makes him a ****.

Fact is: both fighters prefer to counter punch, but when they're facing a fighter that's not coming forward they take the lead. It's happened time and time again in JMM's and Floyd's fights.

Mayweather has gone forward against: Judah, Mitchell, Gatti, Bruseles, Corley, etc.

JMM has gone forward against: Casamayor, Juarez, Barrera, etc.

These are elite fighters that can switch it up when ever they have to, they're not going to be staring at each other. Stop trying to ruin this fight, you selfish prick.

You are quite right, neither will be cavorting around in the ring waiting for the other to take the lead. Apart from tactical carefulness, if things stall, the crowd will OO, and this will cause one or te other to lead.

I believe that at first people come to see Mayweather fights mainly to see him take a beating and lose big (hopefully). But, because he's far too careful for that, they now only come to his fights because of the drawing power of the other fighter.

I've seen some of his fights when the arena was almost entirely empty.

Roach has been hit in the head too much. This fight will probably do 800-1.2 buys realistically. After Mayweather KO's Marquez, Pacman is next in line to get his. Mayweather is fighting Marquez first to help build up the Pacman fight and to make another 20 million when they fight. Its called business Freddie.

ps: I will be on of the 1 million people buying it on PPV. If your a real Mayweather or Marquez fan you have to buy to support boxing and history.

If anything he should hope it does well, with the state of boxing now a days if the event is a flop it will affect future matchups. If it does bad there is not gonna be big money to do the big matchups fans want. Also if Floyd and Manny are sucessful and they matchup the sky is the limit for how much money that fight might make.

There is a lot of negative wishful thinking for this fight. I guess we have to wait and see what happens. Don't think that playing in movie theaters is a bad idea at all, we shall see

I think Roach is a moron who talks to much. The only reason he's a good trainer is because he doesn't mind holding the pads for 20 rounds each guy because he has no life. Showing this fight in movie theaters is a goo step forward and has nothing to do with Pay per view. The only bad thing is they don't serve beer at the theaters.
