Comments Thread For: Hunter Backs Povetkin To Repeat, Knock Whyte Out in Rematch

Heavyweight contender Michael Hunter expects Alexander Povetkin to score another knockout victory over Dillian Whyte when they collide in a rematch on Saturday night in Gibraltar. Back in August, Povetkin pulled off a fifth round knockout of Whyte at Matchroom's Fight Camp in Brentwood.

Hrgovic's team doesn't want that smoke with Michael Hunter?

I would love to see Povetkin drop Whyte again but I don't think lightning will strike twice. Whyte was whooping his @$$ most of the fight and then Povetkin decided enough was enough and pulled out the legendary hammer and dropped it on Whyte forehead and that was all she wrote lol

It's a helluva step up in competition for Hrgovic. He's a big boy but I haven't seen anything to tell me he beats Hunter.

Too true. When I was watching the fight and Povetkin landed that shot, it seemed like Whyte went about 50 feet in the air. Helluva knockout.

I hope so and think it has a good chance of happening, the fight was not as one sided as the English commentators presented it.

Whyte only knows how to fight one way. He'll get dropped again

Christ this fight is so pointless. I dislike Whyte but seeing him lose this would legit make me feel sorry for him. Povetkin has pretty much had his day but a second loss back to back will pretty much kill Whytes career. I'm kinda hoping he pulls through.

I picked Povetkin via KO in the original fight thread , I like him via KO again the first one was set up it was not a "lucky" punch. That shot will be there for Povetkin again Whyte is highly susceptible to the uppercut, + I don't think a fighter ever truly recovers from a brutal KO like the one he suffered ..

It's hard to call. Povetkin had to walk through fire to get in that position and to his credit he took the opportunity with no hesitation but now he's being called upon to do it again and that's a hard ask for anyone even Povetkin.
