Ortiz is better off fighting T. Duckford. Spence will give him a serious beating and ruin his young promising career.

If Oscar wants to make something out of this kid, he’ll stop with the Crawford talk and won’t entertain a Spence or even a porter or ugas fight. Stick to a broner or a josesito Lopez kind of opponent.

David Avanesyan , Jessie Vargas , Jamal James , Custio Clayton and the Mean Machine are all great fights for Virgil . Let him get 20 pro fights in before he fights Spence or Crawford he's almost there not quite tho .

Ortiz is good but he’s green. I think it’s foolish to mention Ortiz Jr and Crawford in the same sentence.

This is the correct train of thought. Got through his first step up test. Needs some more b4 taking on the big boys. Ortiz has a lot of potential. DLH should take his time. 2022 should be when he takes on champs imo

Decent performance from Ortiz, Hooker actually did a little better than I thought he would, but he doesn't know how to tie up and doesn't move his head enough. Not that he would have won but could have possibly made it through 12. I did notice that Ortiz seemed to have a bit of trouble fighting off the back foot when Hooker got enough confidence to try and walk him down but couldn't sustain it.

Overall I think Ortiz is a couple fights away from TC or Spence, I think his style is kind of set in stone an there isn't really all too much he will improve on. He seems like the type of fighter that is what he is, a strong bull, a come forward brawler. Main problem is that style isn't really built for longevity in boxing and he could possibly get burnt out or the wear and tear will set in with the older he get's. Ortiz took more punishment than people think tonight imo.

I'm thinking Boots Ennis, Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter or maybe even the winner of Taylor/Ramirez before he makes the leap sometime in 2022 if he can get through any of those guys.
