Put Hooker in against Boots Innis, the same thing happens except he gets abused worse.

I wasn't even talking about the amateurs dude, I know all about the limits there.. I'm talking about his pro fights, in addition to that both Porter and Thurman are short about 5'7 5'8 so they are welterweights. Porter even made 144lbs for the Broner fight. Spence is about 5'10 and closer if not the same size as Lara...and naturally bigger than both J rock and Lubin imo.. and like I said even Floyd has stated Spence is a big guy anyway and needs to move up when he had trouble getting fights, like he did..and the way and tone he said in, it was like he was saying why is dude even at welterweight lol
I don't really have a problem when a guy is young squeezing down to 147 but once a guy is over 30 years old and walking around at 180lb+ in between fights it's like come on now, look at what Canelo is doing as short at he is, that's greatness when you're able to fight at your real weight not a disguise with a built in advantage....
and rumor has it Spence was having trouble with 154 pounders and that's the real reason he competes at weltweweight, and he's even said himself he only feels about 70% at welterweight, probably why he doesn't want to face Crawford because he know he isn't 100%
All of those guys started above welterweight is the point, Spence is no different to any other career welterweight.
Seperating the amateurs from the pros is also ****** in this context.
You have to be an amateur before you become a pro, and if the weight limit is different in the amateurs it OBVIOUSLY affects how you start in the pros. Common sense.
Thurman and Porter also started above 147 in the pros for the SAME EXACT reason as Spence. That was the point you missed completely.
Loom at their earlier fights, just like Spence, above 147lbs.
In fact unlike Thurman and Spence, Porter wasn't even fighting at the WELTERWEIGHT limit of 152lbs, he was fighting at freaking 165lbs, 165lbs! We talking about the guy who fought and beat Danny Jacobs and Alexander Usyk in the amateurs.
You cannot excuse Thurman and Porter while criticising Spence for doing the EXACT same thing. You either excuse them all or blame them all.
Finally, your assertion that Spence struggles with guys his own size is completely false.
Spence spars Jermell Charlo regularly and rumours are that Jermell is always getting beat up by Spence.
