Watch the fight without sound. SRL was probably up 5-1 or 6-1. Hagler didn't even get started at all until the 2nd half of the fight. The narrative that SRL was shoe-shining or only fighting at the end of the round is directly refuted by the video evidence. He dominated half the rounds, and the other half were competitive. As clear a win as you can ever have in a 12 round decision/big fight.

If you or anyone else gives that fight to Hagler, they have no clue how to score a fight. Simple as that.

You posted in my thread, I think. Hagler gave up a LOT of the early rounds going orthodox...I was told he gave up 2 rounds, but it seemed like he gave up the first 5 or even the first 6. And the second half he started putting in work, but SRL was doing great too.

As a kid HELL YES but I was Bias and I am still Bias RIP Hagler!

No serious As I've gotten older and went back and watched it over and over...it was likely more of a DRAW! Ray Leonard did a masterful job stealing Rounds late with Flurries leaving a lasting impression on the judges to close out the rounds overshadowing what Hagler was doing most of the round. It was a excellent strategy and the right strategy. Also Ray Leonard admits catching him at the right time especially coming off that war with Mugabi and Hagler was getting older and slowing down at that time

Both Boxing ICONS and True Legends! They don't make them like Hagler anymore RIP

Exactly!!! That fight happened before my time. And I generally favor the aggressive fighter. But when I watched it, I couldn't believe anyone though that decision was controversial. The one 10-2 card is more believable, by far, than a Hagler win. You cannot find 7 rounds for Hagler in that fight. You described it as I saw it.
