  • Estrada & Roman Gonzalez

I think a lot of fans/everyone has done Chocolatito a disservice for years. We took too long to crown him and some were saying it was undeserved then he inevitably lost to a very good, huge hitting Thai who simply just had his number then he was forgotten. Nobody had this guy near a P4P list.
Last night he showed he isn't shot, he is still incredible and not just him but just Estrada also are both without a doubt, top P4P fighters.

I had it neck & neck, tit-for-tat but felt Chocolatito did more than enough to make it a close but clear win down the stretch.

Both of these guys are warriors who don't price themselves out and act like diva's. They are top P4Ps that fight the best and come in tremendous shape everytime and give it absolutely everything. They are everything right with this sport and we should give them the praise they deserve and feel blessed we have them especially in such times.
Why are you ranking cowards who avoided both of them and every other threat above them? Someone with one decent win who has been beaten about half a dozen times in better fashion? Inoue can't hold a ****ing candle to these two.
Fight one of them, fight Sor Rungvisai and stop fighting these Australian wildlife photographers.

I don't ever want to justify a bad decision or what I feel is but for selfish reasons as much as I am a little gutted and felt it somehow took away from a modern classic we'll be talking about for decades to come, I am almost glad just because selfish me hopefully gets to witness a trilogy. I need round 25 in my life!

Both of these ATGs, top p4ps, future HOFers and two of the most exciting fighters in a good decade & No I am not going over the top or overrating anybody. These two if anything are underrated, still to this day.

Excellent post, I agree with everything here 100%. There is nothing else I can add, this is all right on. There is not a single bad thing you can say about either of these 2 fighters.

I will say that I did think the decision was unfair, but look at it this way. Estrada wasn't boasting about how he clearly won, like so many of these other idiots in the sport of boxing today. He also said he'd be honored to give him the rematch. Most cowards in boxing today when they're in a close fight will do everything they can to duck and avoid the fighter who many think beat them. Then there's Gonzalez who gave Estrada his credit, wouldn't even say he thought he won. These 2 are the example for how everyone else needs to behave.

One of the best fights I have had the pleasure of witnessing live. This was no mindless war with two guys having their feet planted in concrete and taking it in turns.
It was a ferociously fast paced, technically brilliant war. A masterpiece between two artists.

        Outstanding fight.

Both class acts maybe a little too humble but that was refreshing to see.
Lets hope we get round 25 asap. They just bring out the best in each other.

Yes anyone who says it was "just brawling" or "unskilled" has absolutely no clue what they're watching. Lucky man you got to be there in person, wow. Wish I could have been there.

I just wonder how many more of these type of performances that Roman Gonzalez have left in him? I mean he ate a lot of heavy punches in there last night against Estrada and he is not getting any younger at age 33. This fight could have very well been his last stand. It's too soon to tell now but this fight could have easily aged and damaged him. However, if they do decide to do a trilogy bout; Hopefully, it's done less than 6 months out from this fight and not more than 12 or 15 months out from this fight where he is showing lasting damage from this fight.

Maybe that he got jobbed on the scorecards is a blessing in disguise? Maybe he can take an easy fight or two while Estrada and SRR have a war. Then he'll be able to fight those guys in a recovered state rather than coming off of a brutal war.

                  You lie.

EVERYONE from Max Kellerman on down had Chocolatito #1 before he met Srisaket. Even Floyd called Chocolatito the P4P #1 back then. That was before everyone jumped on the Crawford bandwagon.

The thing is, Choco LOST the first fight against Srisaket. He got dropped. People don't credit that win, I saw a clear, but close, Srisaket win.

Srisaket would then rematch and leave NO doubt, winning EVERY round before putting that boy to sleep, flat on his back Amir Khan style.

THAT is when people started saying that maybe they were overrating Choco. And I say even now, people overrated him. He struggled at the top of the division every time and only looked unstoppable against the B-class and lower.

Just like Crawford now, which is why I firmly believe the same thing would happen there with him.
