You're right you dont need Lopez. You need Gamboa, Chavez Sr, Barrera, and Morales! "To be the man, you gotta beat the man!" Lopez is the man right now. If not Lopez, then fight Ryan, Shakur, Tank, or even that bum ass Romero.

He doesn't need Teo in particular but he needs one of Teo/Tank/Garcia. He's less popular than them and his fights tend to be in less exciting than theirs. I have sympathy for the guy because he wants to fight the best but I don't see him being a star unless he beats one of them

Haney should definitely fight Romero! But he can show us he is who he thinks he is by fighting Isaac Cruz Gonzolez. Then maybe these big fish. And I'm not sure he gets past Fortuna or Linares.

And where in that statement is he wrong? He just beat the PFP # 1 fighter in the world. Lopez doesn’t step to anyone. He is the champion. All 3 need to step to him and send a contract. They won’t.

Fortuna is not an easy fight for anybody. Look all the fighters that he has faced and beaten lately. Better record than any of those other guys, he is a live dog. Odds are with the young bloods but Fortuna is a live dog.

Haney has said he intends to fight Fortuna as a secondary mandatory if he can't get Garcia. I'm sure he would take Garcia if he can get him. Haney was there ringside for the Garcia/Campbell fight and all Garcia wanted to do after his win was call out Tank.
