Best post so far, minus the lightweights part. Those fights won't happen. Not gonna wait on those promoters.

I think Barrios at 140 is the toughest fight. I'll believe it when fight is announced. Knowing Floyd, tho, he might change his mind mid stream and give us someone completely different.

Yea. And I think thats more likely accomplished through GRJ than Barrios.

What have people seen in Barrios that got folks hyped. His murder of Cowboy Karl? I dig Cowboy Karl, but he's a fringe contender on his best day. All I keep hearing about Barrios is he's big. Okay he's big. Good luck winning a fight with Tank being big. GRJ gots skills. He's smaller, but he can fight.

          No disrespect to Gary.
Sh^t GRJ & lotsa mofos would be looking like superheros vs Barrios' resume. He's fresh I'll give him that, but idk that thats a good thing vs an established guy like Tank.

To me this feels like a fight thats just above a vacant title fight. Its always better to beat a champ for a belt. But the thing is Barrios is the worst title holder at 140.

As to the excuses, Tank is a popular name guy. If he crushes Floyd's 50-0 & multiple division success people will be giving excuses just like they still do for Floyd. You can't make decisions based on what the dumbest fans might say. I'm a fan of Tank, he's probably among my top 3, top 5 favorite active guys to watch these days, but I give no fooks about this fight outside of it artificially inflating his accomplishments with a soft title holder.

They said the same when Canelo fought Fielding...

Easy work for Tank. The gap in levels is far greater than the gap in weight.

Do you rate Barrios? I think he’s trash tbh man. Just one of those dudes who’s never really impressed me.

It’s not as bad but this reminds me of Canelo-Fielding in the sense that Tank is so much better that the weight class becomes irrelevant.

I've never heard of this guy so he's probably a bum.

Fair enough. This fight for me has a lot of intrigue. I think they are testing the fans' pulse with the leak of Barrios' name. So far, not many oppose.

                    Wut?!?!?!?!?!

This dude took 6 rounds to KO Cowboy Karl who was begging to be KTFO. Cowboy Karl got KO'd quicker by a guy with less than half his wins by KO.

Tank is gonna stop this dude 100%. He's there to be hit. And he's gonna get hit. I won't be surprised if Cowboy Karl got more ring time with Barrios than Tank will.

Yea I see others with a similar mindset to yours or at least not as whatever-ish as I am so I agree with your take on the public's pulse. I think fans overrate belts doe to so I think thats why people might wanna see this fight. I think its gonna be a straight up uncompetitive ass whipping myself.
