All you have to do is listen to the commentary. Vitali is clearly winning. Lewis is just lucky the doctor stopped the fight. Vitali didn't want to stop fighting.

At least with the Byrd loss Vitali is the one who stopped the fight.

Most fighters don't want a fight stopped because of a cut; they'd be pretty crap if they did. Like the others, though, I don't see why Lewis was 'lucky'. A lot of fights are stopped because of cuts. Sure Vitali might have won if it went the distance, but it didn't (is anybody seriously claiming it shouldn't have been stopped?) and that's the end of it. Plus, of course, it isn't as if the fight was stopped in the 12th. Who knows what would have happened in the second half of it?

you do not even know the defenition of the word schooling. I dont dislike the klitschkos infact im a fan of them but its ******ed people like you that say vitali "schooled" lennox that makes me say this. the fact is Vitali lost just look at the state of his face that was from an old 37 year old Lennox Lewis. think about what a prime Lennox Lewis would do.

if that was a schooling by vitali then all fighters that have been behind on points have been schooled. being behind on points and being schooled is not the same thing.
They won't like very much for that. But nevertheless it is very manly to say what one thinks. I agree with you btw on this topic. I saw the fight 28 or 29 times exactly, in all of those 29 times Vitali lost by TKO in the sixth. Lucky? How about getting out of the fight with your vision still in dual mode, wouldn't you consider that lucky given the condition the termina... i mean Vitali had his eye in? I think Vitali got lucky he's not a pirate now. But then again, if he was, crazy old Jones would probably try to sell a mega PPV featuring himself as "hook(er)" and Vitali as the eye patched Easten pirate!

Vitali is good, but he failed against Top competition. Even if that top competition was past his prime.

There really is none Scott, only in the sense that a lotta people disagreed wit it. But it was the right call.

whatever, Lewis is and always will be greater than the Klitschkos both resume and skill wise. You can say "oh wlad would beat all lewis opponents much easier blah blah blah" but the fact is he did not and you will never know if he could beat all of Lewis opponents, you seem to think he can but thats the thing with your whole argument you would like to think Klitschko could beat all of Lewis opponents way more impressingley but thats just imagining. I go by facts and resume, Lewis have beaten way better fighters than Wlad has and therefore he is greater. Its ludicrous to assume who they could beat, hell then I might aswell say Lennox Lewis is the GOAT because I think he can beat all of Muhammad Ali's opponents and in a more imprssing fashion. Lmao.

never trust those commentators. With his eye like that... he was on the verge of blindness... and imo eventually getting knocked out.yessshh

I think it's time to stop going on about this fight. I'm a klitschko fan aswell and was pissed off at the outcome when i first watched the fight, but it was a legitimate win for Lewis. Klitschko was getting the better of Lennox but he should have been more protective of that cut when it first opened up instead of going toe to toe.
