I tend to agree with this type of mindset most of the time with tip top level guys. I mean I fell like Canelo's last fight & his next one was/is kinda bs fights, but I watched the last one & will watch the one tomorrow cuz Canelo is a pleasure to watch whatever caliber of guy he's fighting. And thats usually my mindset with all the big names in the game with some talent or simply entertainment value.

If boxers plan their future around not pleasing fans they drastically lower their lifetime income in the sport.

Plus the folks who talk sh^t about boxers are a small segment of fans of the sport so its not a good idea to listen to them, to agree or disagree, in the first place.

Well I guess thats what I mean dont listen to the critics, just keep winning and fighting top competition. The critics are always gonna judge you by who they think can beat you at any given time and without shame they build thier arguments around that rather than how the sport should work.

I find it really bizarre that over the last 15 years or so, so many so called fans have slated Pacquiao, Mayweather, Canelo etc etc. I feel incredibly lucky to have seen these guys along with greats like Ali, Leonard, Hagler in my time and relish every one of their fights. It’s all new. It’s all different. There at no truly easy or guaranteed wins at their level. Sure, some are harder than others but realistically they’re so universally well respected by all but a few idiots for a reason. They find a way to win, they adapt. They’re all thinking fighters with high ring IQ and keep their resolve when other fall. That’s what sets them apart. I think it was Einstein said that it takes talent to appreciate genius whereas mediocrity can only appreciate itself. That’s how I feel about the pillocks that believe anyone really cares or listens to their childish rants based on a what amounts to a really poor understanding of the sport.

But I don't see you criticizing him like you do Canelo. Why don't you keep that same energy towards Bivol, you hypocrite alt?
I don't really care for the Craig Richards fight but at least he's coming off a win. Winning a British title no less. I know you'll just scoff at that with your big murican flag avatar but the Euro, British, and Pacific titles actually mean something in those parts of the world unlike the devalued NABF.

Also Canelo is being a hypocrite saying this while not refusing franchise champion status. Surprised it took like 20 some posts for someone to mention that.

Do you reckon that was Canelo’s choice or Oscar’s? Personally I think a lot of criticism levelled at Canelo was down to Golden Boy and I think that’s why he ended up leaving them.

Yeah I watched his last fight against Shakan Pitters because I am a fan of boxing and not some petty nationalist faggot like you. And Yes Callum Smith is a better opponent than Craig Richards I wasn't arguing that. Doesn't make the Yildirim fight any less trash though.

Canelo didn’t pick Yildrim or make him his mandatory. He said before moving up his aim was to unify 168. Can’t do that if he gives up his belt.

Quite how Yildirim got to be his mandatory is another matter and agree it’s a rubbish choice.
