So one can fight trash and your cool but Canelo can't after just fighting two months ago.

The guy Canelo fighting fought Andre Dirrell and Eubank Jr.

who has that clown fought even close??? Skakan Butters???

Fought and lost to both. Stopped by Jr. no less. And learn to read I never said I was cool with it. Specifically said I don't care for it. Both are waste of time fights. Why does Canelo need to defend vs this useless mandatory when he was made Franchise Champion for which the rules are made up as they go on. You'd think the whole point of making that status was to avoid fighting trash like this.

Canelo could say the sky is blue & some of y'all would disagree with him. Too many paper champions is what holds the sport back more than anything, it's so confusing that even hardcore fans don't fully understand a lot of the time. What chance does a casual who only has a passing interest have of knowing who the legit #1 in any weight division is? But this argument is as old as time & it ain't changing any time soon.

I agree with your post, 100%. For me, almost all the current divisions come under the label, "No clear Champ."
Good to see you back, Amber. How are things?

Fap Fap Spoonge, your boy Andrade just signed on to fight Liam something or another, instead of fighting GGG, Charlo or Plant. Justify that fight. Go on, tell us how great Andrade is for fighting another unheralded opponent.

Canelo’s not franchise at 168. Doesn’t get the option. Hearn and DAZN are ****ing the same drum. Both now on record in last couple of months about too many belts. Also in uk you’ve now got major news channels peering into the shadier side of boxing. Won’t be long until the big money from the likes of Espn, DAZN, sky sports etc start putting pressure on boxing to clean up its act. The world is changing. Everything gets more regulated all the time. It’s coming for boxing. I reckon the days of multiple organisations are numbered.

You couldn’t do crap like inventing franchise champions or dreaming up interim titles in any other sport. All it’ll take is one politician to propose a bill and that all evaporates. Only reason it’s there now is due to ******** money. It’ll get regulated.

are you following me from thread to thread? Stop being a weirdo stalker. And you did the same exact thing you did in the previous thread, deflect deflect deflect. Just because I mentioned that canelo chose not to face charlo when charlo was his mandatory or didn’t think unifying a division was that important when it was time to unify with Andrade doesn’t mean I’m fans of there’s. I’m just saying the facts of what happened. So unless you can disprove that canelo is a hypocrite for saying there should be a single champ when he’s gone out of his way to benefit from these multiple bullsh** titles like franchise belts or wba regular belts and never tried to unify all the titles in any division until now where he sees a weak division, just stfu and accept the L.

Charlo was never a mandatory. A mandatory is when an organization FORMALLY announces it. We could all look at the #1 spots in each division and organization and theorize “mandatory.” There’s no industry publication of Charlo being a Canelo mandatory.

It’s typical of LDBC kids to fabricate chronological order. Canelo did say he wanted to unify all the belts at 160. However, Canelo’s deal with DAZN, for premium fights, had DAZN’s final discretion. Andrade, per the Athletic, was not a premier fight. It meant Canelo would only get $17mil as he did Fielding. Second, DAZN was only colluding to acknowledge a GGG trilogy over anything Andrade related. This was all disclosed and fans were clammering for GGG. Third, Derevyanchenko didn’t accept GBP’s offer and took less for GGG’s vacant title. With Canelo being bombarded (with purse bid theory) per GBP’s advisory, ala Charlo and Derevyanchenko - plus no Andrade, why the hell would Canelo stay at Middleweight during such time? It was a waste of time and Canelo did the best thing for boxing and moved on. Given the GGg and DAZN legal battle, it could’ve been worse if Canelo had stayed at Middleweight with the Mexican being upset with Oscar’s reluctance for making the best fights with the premium purse that reflected his multi deal.

this is why Canelo went exclusively northbound after Jacobs. Even Jacobs left Middleweight.

the reality is that Canelo haters can’t stand that Alvarez has the star power to reset his initiatives at 168. He’s basically stating it from the ground up again, wanting all the belts. In this business it ain’t easy and there are always roadblocks due to the political nature of networks. This is why i assume or guess Haymon will roadblock Plant for Canelo. Why would Haymon give Canelo and Hearn that satisfaction? do you think Haymon’s clients will want to buy Plant fights after losing to Canelo? Or course not.

but we’re looking forward to Canelo haters not coming up with original ideas, just rerun narratives that get played out!
