    He's posted about it.

I doubt he's fooking mad. He's making more than he otherwise would have as well & he didn't even have to piss off his promoter to get it. Or potentially have to sign options away to TR.

I think Teo has some entrepreneur type thinking, but yea his manager, David McWater, is among the best managers in the game so I suspect he had feelers out about how much this fight was worth.

And I mean with the popularity of boxing in Australia + Teo's new appeal this fight was CLEARLY worth more than TR was willing to pay so its not like this move to go to purse bid is THAT crazy. TR has always been a bean counter promotion & ALWAYS have issues with their stars or emerging stars as they move up the value scale.

Nice! Gotta give it to Kambosos. He’s been outstanding and patient on all this.

I’m rolling with Tha BobFather on this one. Hearn is up to no good just like Alan Haymon and it’ll catch up to him in the end just like it is now with Haymon. The FOX deal is about to end and the main event this weekend is AWFUL for a regular FOX card. That’s not what they signed up for. As far as Teofimo, this fight isn’t worth that much. If you say Teofimo should be able to get as much as he can, then don’t sign with a promoter and see how consistent that big money comes in.

With Alan Haymon’s main fighters, he has to use the PPV model to pay them because the money from the firm has run out. That’s why you get a terrible main event like tomorrow’s event on FOX.

You can’t skew the market for long like Triller is. Too many people tried and failed. That’s why Arum has been doing this for 50+ years. He ain’t senile. He’s smart as a tack.

BTW... Teofimo shouldn't take it. He said he's a $10,000,000 guy. REMEMBER? So he should put his mouth where the money is and say no! But he won’t. And YOU won’t see the hypocrisy.

Yea idk how any TR fighter looking to move up in the sport can love or defend Bob's remarks here. And I suspect if they are defending Bob now they won't be when they are opposite Bob's remarks one day in the future. I really feel like Shakur should be paying attention to this. If he's the next gen guy he's being advertised as & talked about as this is gonna be similar headlines to his a year or two from now probably. And sh^t everyone has already been seeing the Bud disrespect Bob keeps throwing out there.

Boxing is already tribalist between platforms & promoters, but fook me when you got your own damn promoter talking sh^t about you lol. Getting your ass verbally beat from every angle at that point. No one is on your team.

How is Eddie up to no good by bidding on a fight that can be bidded on? This is how the business fooking works man lol.

You either come up with a deal with the mando guy fight or the fight goes to a purse bid & highest bidder wins. Eddie didn't tell Teo & George to not agree on a deal. He's just taking part in how the sport works when a deal doesn't get made. Bob has done this himself. How is it bad when Matchroom does it, but not when TR does it?

Arum has to do what’s best for his company. It’s not anyone’s fault that triller came in with a massive bid. This is why boxers have to be their own bosses on paper, not with their mouths. So Arum can cry all he wants but he cannot do anything about it.

Yeah true. He has the chance to shock the world and shake up the lightweight division. His mind set is in the right place while Lopez may have put his promoter in a bad headspace where consequences will follow thereafter in terms of his relationship with TR

a couple of things on this.

Arum was happy to do this fight with Lopez & Kambosos in Australia because they could draw a gate. Lopez no doubt would have got more than the contract minimum he ended up getting offered because of the Australian authorities brought in mandatory 10 day on arrival in country, no exceptions. It would have been a nightmare with a fighter trying to make weight and train being holed up.

Not saying Bob is innocent in this matter but he knows and everyone that follows the sport knows, outside of Australia, the fight isn't going to draw anywhere else. Bob is probably more pissed off because he has lost one of fighters next fights for ESPN.

Kambosos getting a career high purse and really Lopez is supposed to be near 4 million? but he has something like 1.2 million to come off that (Top Rank and sanctioning fees) then he will have his other deductions like tax and % to his corners and coaches, sparring partners, training camp. Is he making a boat load more than he did for Loma after all that is factored in?
