Bivol fighting some can! "BUTBUT he's just waiting on Canelo!! It's Canelo's fault Bivol is fighting this unheralded opponent!!"
Fap Fap Spoonge kept saying how Canelo keeps fighting white guys and no blacks because he's racist, yet BOTH Andrade and Charlo haven't fought a black guy since 2016. Yes, both of them.Comment

You still crying about this fight? When is Charlo announcing the fight with Plant in May? When is he announcing the unification with Andrade? When is he going to grow a pair and take the Benevidez fight? When is he going to grow a set of balls?
This is tune up fight in February you dumbass. Save your crying for May and September if he fights this type of opponent again.Comment

If he was like most of these guys and only fighting once or twice a year then yeah it would be a bad pick. But he’s trying to fight 4-5 times in 12 months and unify a division. This fight is just a stepping stone in that journey. He’ll fight in May, September, and probably December again.
He does that he’s looking at another fighter of the year campaign.Comment

And by the look of the comments on this thread, Canelo is spot on. I mean look at all the comments by the haters living in their momma's basement....Comment

Canelo is facing a mandatory for the first time in his entire career after dropping multiple titles instead of facing past mandatories and the guy is a 50-1 underdog. The belief that Smith was #1 at 168 was really just a matter of the super 6 tournament from years ago as the reality is Smith got worked over by Ryder and clearly wouldn’t have beaten several other boxers in or around that weight class. So of course some fans aren’t going to be happy. By that same token, his fans wouldn’t give a damn if canelo gave Amir khan a rematch, they’d still find a way to justify it the way they do everything else.Comment

Eh. I would like to think Canelo knows that fans can be disinterested in a fight that's unappealing just cuz it's a bs fight without not being appreciative of him &/or his overall career.
And sh^t to most of us that last fight was a bs fight too so this isn't a serious fight, bs fight strategy in play. This is back to back bs fights, regardless of the ABC reasons this specific fight is happening.
Callum smith was the lineal champ and rated the #1 super middleweight by almost every credible boxing site....Comment

And yet most folks thought it a bs fight. UK fans seemed to lean more that it wasn't a bs fight & I get it from the angle of Callum's position, but I think the odds & fight itself tell the story than us debating it.Comment

Most folks have never stepped foot in a ring. Last year people were saying that Canelo would never fight Callum because he was too big for him. Even after the Ryder fight. Just because the betting odds were in Canelo's favor, and that he dominated Callum, that's not his fault either. He challenges himself more than any other boxer right now and that's facts.Comment
