This is a throw away fight for Canelo fans and an easy money making event for the sanctioning organizations, that is for sure. But, not everything has to be a war. After a year of only the bare bones sporting events, having boxing's biggest star fight twice in such a short period of time to get the sport in the limelight is a win. If he takes a fight with Saunders next then no one will care.

Exactly! It's a stay busy fight and another chance to see one of the sport's biggest stars. Mandatory rankings have been bought and sold for decades. Nothing new here. Does this dude deserve the shot? Of course not but I like many will be tuning in. Hope the undercard is decent. Saturday should be a good day for boxing. Looking forward to the Parker/Fa fight!
